lenfromak: Wow. If only they pissed beer, they'd be the perfect food.
musicmanboston: i believe that most chickens are bred to be either layers or fryers
Zombie Eater: They should really watch their terminology. A lot of anti-GMA people will see "hybrid" and froth at the mouth, completely forgetting about the process of crossbreeding.
Fritriac: Most hybrid chicken don't procreate. Let's see if the chicken breeders are still happy after they realised that.
reillan: lenfromak: Wow. If only they pissed beer, they'd be the perfect food.and if they cross-bred a chicken with a pig so that the meat was BACON
I. R. Rottweiler: I'm not eating any meat that a chicken lays.
vudukungfu: Zombie Eater: They should really watch their terminology. A lot of anti-GMA people will see "hybrid" and froth at the mouth, completely forgetting about the process of crossbreeding.Wonder what Gregor Mendel would say.
Sneakytoes: Fritriac: Most hybrid chicken don't procreate. Let's see if the chicken breeders are still happy after they realised that. It's not that kind of hybrid. They're still chickens, not a cross between a chicken and a turkey or something.

blatz514: What a hybrid chicken may look like
wildcardjack: The GOP seems to think they double as sex toys.
Securitywyrm: Egg = MeatProve me wrong
fo_sho!: Securitywyrm: Egg = MeatProve me wrongThey are byproducts - not meat. Boogers are not meat. Feathers are not meat. Wool is not meat. Also, your mom is a vegetarian and she swallows, so not meat.
Sneakytoes: I raised broilers for meat over the summer, free range. It seemed cruel to raise chickens that grew so fast that they developed health problems, but the alternative was worse. The "dual purpose" chickens that I raised before them were much friendlier, but ended up so small that it took two of them to feed my family of six. I'll take killing one ugly dull-normal chicken over killing two cute lap chickens any day.
SpiderQueenDemon: The 'friendly' problem is why I don't currently raise chickens. Are there any that are so stone stupid I won't get attached to them? Something with the intelligence of a sheep that's been hit in the skull with a brick would be nice.
dryknife: "It performs very well under scavenging management system and has been genetically selected to provide both meat and eggs and is able to survive and thrive on agricultural and household waste, requiring no additional feed."Yardbirds.
