Newsflash!  Human beings are generally complex and sometimes show seemingly contradictory behavior.  But it doesn't always mean they're full of shiat.

Neil Patrick Harris

The "How I Met Your Mother" star is just one of many celebs who puts out a statement via social media and then asks the media to respect his privacy. That's counter-intuitive, isn't it?

Yes, because announcing a major life event to your fans is exactly the same as having your children stalked by a pack of scuzzy paparazzi.

2013-01-14 09:16:53 AM
I don't think Fox News should really be calling anyone hypocrites.

Yeah, I wanted to stick up for NPH as well. All he's asking is to cut out the middleman. He's got a twitter account. Anybody that wants a peek into his life can follow him.

Yeah, what a total piece of hypocritical shiat. And this has nothing to do with him being gay, at all.

That list was awful.. Every point that made was derpy as hell.

When a wife and husband announce that they're having twins, does it have anything to do with them being straight?

2013-01-14 09:22:02 AM
Oh, pointing to Al Gore and not asking what he did with the family fortune of Occidental Oil stock?

The rest of them were fairly low grade hypocrisies. High profile people can screw up operations for an airline, there's invasion of privacy versus what you share with the world, and PETA is a hypocrisy in and of itself.

Let me guess - everyone in the list is Liberal because There Is No Such Thing As a Conservative Hypocrite.

8 that Fox News Doesn't like 1 that should STFU

/Just can't stand Dr. Phil

2013-01-14 09:38:57 AM
The Jennifer Aniston and Dr. Phil ones had the beginnings of a point, but that was about it.

The Jamie Foxx one was the worst. Conservatives have this weird idea that acting in a movie means you 100% endorse every last thing in said movie. When Terrance Howard was in Hustle and Flow, they would ask "How can he talk about treating women with respect when he played a pimp?". In that same vein, Django Unchained doesn't "promote" gun violence.

No, and neither should this. But the entry on NPH was weak as hell. "OMG!! HE Wants PRIVACY but said something on TWITTER!!" is a bunch of weak bulllshiat, and given Fox News' leanings, there is only one reason why they would put NPH on that list. A guy, who by all accounts is a stand up guy and a great family man.

Remember when Jewish director Steven Spielberg made that movie promoting the genocide of Jews? What a hypocrite!

Soo, you're saying that two people in a relationship (marriage, even in this case) who announce that they have successfully reproduced does not have any implications that they are straight?

kronicfeld: I hear that Sting is pro-environment but still lives in a house with indoor plumbing. I mean, right?

I know.  And, get this, he plays a freakin' ELECTRIC bass.  Does he know where the electric comes from for his bass?  That shiat doesn't just grow on trees, ya know.

Cythraul: Soo, you're saying that two people in a relationship (marriage, even in this case) who announce that they have successfully reproduced does not have any implications that they are straight?

What? No. This isn't 1850. People who say they are having a kid (whether the couple is straight or not) could mean they are adopting as well, or having a surrogate.

But that's not my point anyway. Quit changing the subject

He doesn't really talk about it much, but I'm pretty sure Dr. Phil is on Fox's side of the fence.

I love it when Fox News tries to slam others and only ends up coming off looking like whiny biatches and embarrassing themselves.

/days ending in y, something something

2013-01-14 09:53:25 AM
I think this list proves that whoever wrote it doesn't comprehend the concept of moderation. Like, being an environmentalist does not ipso facto mean you want to get rid of oil entirely and you're tying yourself to trees in order to save them. Sting and John Travolta can zip around in their private jets and still be interested in curbing our oil dependency. Neil Patrick Harris probably wants to share a limited amount of information about his private life with his fans, but dislikes being stalked by the press. Jamie Foxx can want guns to be more strictly regulated, but still want them to be available. Lady Gaga can dislike the way our culture treats women's bodies and still want to exercise.

The one I will give them is Paris Hilton doing a "get out the vote" thing and not being registered to vote.

Lots of celebs pose for PETA, but few of them do so and then admit to hunting and eating animals!

I think animals should be treated ethically. I'm also an unapologetic carnivore.
Does that make me a hypocrite?

Is your car seat going to murder your children? The hidden danger behind heads of broccoli!

I mean come on, while I agree the NPH entry was a reach that was probably motivated by teh ghey, the rest of this is standard brain-dead MSM nonsense. And I'm not even sure this qualifies as manufactured outrage. No one is going to go out and commit violence based on this list. "Manufactured outrage" should be reserved for stuff like the numerous Reuters & co. anti-Israeli photoshopping or photostaging incidents.

2013-01-14 09:55:52 AM
Fox would probably put me on that list because I respect all life yet am an avid hunter of cute, tasty deer and fish every chance I get.

In general, no. But PETA thinks that even eating animals is cruelty.

I think as she should have to experience what the animals go through, so she should be hunted and eaten. I'll be happy to take care of that.

I don't know about gun violence, but it sure promote gun accuracy. Most of the characters couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.
