Paging General Sherman, General Sherman, please pick up the white courtesy phone.

2013-01-14 08:41:54 AM
You mean erase the line between church and state. And by church, he means christian only. Dickhead.

It's Alabama.  What did you expect, subby?

I wish the the northern and coastal States (except Florida) would secede from the hillbilly States and maybe merge with Canada.  That would be cool.

Bibles in Alabama depict Adam and Eve as brother and sister.

2013-01-14 09:23:09 AM
Congratations, you stupid motherfarkers. You're going to get everything you want deserve, including staying backwards and being mocked by pretty much everybody of the non-moran persuasion.

Idiots.

FTA: Moore used his judicial pulpit to favor the word of God over the word of human law, issuing such infamous opinions as D.H. v. H.H., in which he voted to grant child custody to an abusive father over a lesbian mother due to the "inherent evil" of homosexuality.

I'm so appalled by this I can't think of anything snarky to say.

2013-01-14 09:25:24 AM
It's Alabama.......justice isn't always the primary goal of the legal system.

2013-01-14 09:25:40 AM
Well, they'll be happier this way. They want to be worse off, poorer, stupider, and more third-worldy than the rest of us. And democracy has given them their wish.

Fark you Alabama for putting this festering pile of shiat back into office.

2013-01-14 09:27:30 AM
They'll boot him again when he crosses the line, and he will, because that's what attention whore christians do.

The formula is:

Knowingly cross line -> complain about persecution when called out for it ->set up legal fund -> let morons give you free money

It's all in the bible.

I was about to tell you all to "cry moar" about the 10 commandments, but this guy does really seem like a genuine douche dispenser.

This is ridiculous.

Charleston Heston belongs nowhere within ten miles of a courthouse.

I did my part voting against him. Not looking forward to his next ridiculous action.

Always a move, putting a guy who sees the greater part of the people of the nation as enemies (not of the state though... he judges correctly that the overwhelming majority of Alabamans are on his side of the culture war) in at the court of last resort.

Yeah, this.

I wanted to make some funnies about this but that just took the wind out of that idea.

It just makes me sad.

They would fail miserly and blame the United States for all their problems just like Iran does. Eventually the United States would get sick of all the defections from the South and reunite it with borrowed money. The South would then blame the North for running up the dept. The only reason the South even functions is by taking money from the North. They couldn't get by on their own. Period. The politicians know it. It's why it hasn't happened already. Do really think all those Southerners want to remove their lips from the government's teat? Seriously?

Even my ass-backwards Virginia got over the per se unfitness of a homosexual parent something like 25 years ago. Although I'm sure Ken Cuccinelli is trying to figure out an end-run around that.

Very unfortunate, and a little disturbing considering my Baptist preacher friend, who believes in young earth creationism, was voting AGAINST Moore because Moore is such a whackjob.

I'm not one for overzealous Federal action in state business but seriously, cant the feds do something about this? I mean it would be one thing if Alabamie elected him governor but this has the potential to be catastrophic for some folks.

Lincoln and Sherman knew that the worst possible punishment they could give Alabama was to leave Alabamians in charge of it.

Well, it was an Alabama ethics panel that removed him in the first place. Let's watch and see if/when they'll have cause to do it again.

2013-01-14 09:54:00 AM
I'm keen to see what southern apologists come up with for this? Some of the states in the U.S. are objectively more backwards than others. And the worst are in the south.

I would have disagreed with you right up until last May. And then recently we go ahead and elect a bunch of neocons to run all branches of state government. Not that I necessarily blame the derpitudes for that; the NC Dems have been a corrupt and inept bunch.

We are a population divided just enough to let the mouth-breathers in the mountains and the wasteland east of I-95 and south of 264 decide our elections.

At least we passed the referendum about not letting felons get elected sheriff.
