With his little brother trapped inside the family van, flames licking wildly  up its back and side into night sky, Nathaniel Gonzalez-Collins could hear  his mother screaming for him to help.

Alana Collins was on the opposite side of the van, somewhere off the highway
near Milk River, AB unable to get through the fire, burning her arms, to get  to three-year-old Luis Gonzalez-Collins.

She had to look to her seven-year-old for a moment of heroism.

She couldn't run around to the other side of the van?

Gergesa:
Canadian hero

[Peter North's vinegar face, ugh]

The "North Pole" attended my high school, no lie. I think he's probably its most well-known alumnus.

/Not sure if he's a "hero", to be honest, just naturally talented.

I can just imagine how the reunions go.

Okay, question about Canada and Bob and Doug, since they are Canada's two greatest heroes:

I referenced Bob & Doug a few months back in a thread on another website about a new phone being released in Canada. Some Canadian got pissed, saying he was from Alberta and that "we don't watch that Rick Moranis shiat" up there. He was less pissed about an American using Bob & Doug than he was about Bob & Doug, period.

So, what happens? Do you guys ban him from Tim Hortons for life now? Does he lose his citizenship? Is he forced to tape a garden hose to his head? What's the endgame here?

Most of Canada's dipshiats wind up in Alberta. Don't take it personally.

Alberta tends to not like the Eastern parts of Canada or our talent/performers.
.
Alberta is our 'Texas'.

A 'rugged individual' from Texas North? Being humourless? Nothing surprising there.

We just don't invite them to any of the good parties.

Nevar Forget! This pattern of aggression has existed since the days of Bryan Adams and Corey Hart, how long will we submit to the assaults to the national culture by our neighbors to the north...
