I had an ex who accused me of stalking her. She claimed that I had called her several times and then hung up from the company I worked for. She even had the phone records to show that the calls were coming from that company. What she did not know was that when those calls were made I was no longer working at that company! D'oh! I never did figure out who it was who had called her, but I did not lose any sleep over it.

See this right here is what's wrong with things today, people take something like this and lump it, along with everything else into the same category, no wonder they claim 6.6 million people were stalked last year.

i have 4. i'm very aware of 3. i laugh, since i starting giving out a dummy home address to anyone outside of my immediate circle of closest friends years ago, they can't find me.

number 4 is the very quiet, secretive type and worries me. haven't heard of his whereabouts in about 6 years. he had the dedication to move across the country to stalk me once already, so who knows how long it will take him to give up completely, if ever.

Ha! I haven't heard that one in forever...loved that song.

I've never been stalked. Sounds awful, it seems like every chick I know has had at least one, like it's a yeast infection or something. Never had one of those either. I am starting to wonder if I am just really unlikeable. I'm glad of it, though...both the lack of stalking as well as yeast infections.

As a teen, I really didn't have anything going for me, and figured nobody would ever want to stalk me. Apparently, I got a little less lame in my 20s, because I had someone on Facebook move across the country to stalk me a few months ago. I wish I'd had less publicly accessible information, now.

I also understand now how people in unhealthy relationships keep going on in them. I feel ~bad~ for my stalker, sometimes, before I realize she made her own choices in life and that there's nothing which can reconcile us, or make us 'just friends' again. It's not my fault she started posting online accounts of her wet dreams, wouldn't listen to me when I told her we weren't working out, or quit her job to get a position a mile from my house. I'm pretty sure I advised her against all of those actions. The gifts on my front porch weren't advisable either.

what's fun is showing up at her parents' house and giving them presents and asking how she's doing and expressing your hopes that her leg is healing up nicely after that last incident. nothing special; i find a bouquet of black roses and a bottle of 5 year expired cab is a perfectly moving gesture, towing the line between too much and too little.
