brap: I saw that earlier today, it was so danged adorable that I spontaneously gave birth to a litter of puppies.

I showed it to my wife and her "squee" broke every window in the house.

Oh my goodness, I LOVE that video.  I remember my neighbors teaching their (used to be) tiny English bull dog puppy to go up and down the stairs... it was so cute!

I once witnessed an old golden retriever teaching our pup that it could swim.  Damn that was pretty cute.

Not so cute when the little shiate would come back all covered with mud every other minute we were on the farm but still cute.  The old pooch also taught it to lay on its back under horses which made me practically crap myself thinking it would get stomped into a paste.  That dog WORSHIPPED horses, would watch them on television with a rapt expression.  Don't know who taught him to roll around in crap and dead things, I think he picked that up on his own.

Miss you Gus.

Dude, deep breaths.

You need a mentor puppy.

Do you think the FARK posting selectors actually look at what has been submitted? There are only 2 reasons to green light something.

1. The subject matter has been submitted several times and seems active so might as well pick one that has a snappy subject and goes to a good web server.

2. Total FARKers like it and start pre-green/red commenting (maybe it was submitted by a TFer who comments to pimp it). Something with a lot of pre-green/red comments becomes an automatic green.

Neither of these decision processes require that someone at FARK look at what was submitted.

I had a Golden Retriever dog and pup.  It was so cute seeing him teach the little pup to bark at our immigrant neighbours.

For Heaven's sake. That was unspeakably dull, but still managed to be annoying.

You could hear the dogs over the shrill supersonic owner?

Say No To Vertical Videos

You didn't notice that this actually worked? A wide-format shot would have lost most of the action.

It is way better with the sound off.

I'm not sure I could, but the dogs managed it.

This. About half way in, I turned the sound off. Didn't need to hear commentary/reactions from the Peanut Gallery to know what was happening.

Yeah but in videos like this it doesn't really matter. All the action is in the center of the video. Extra space on top/bottom or left/right is still going to be empty space no matter how it's oriented.

Submitted this yesterday with an equally bad headline.

Another cute video ruined by:

a) vertical video
b) shrieking harpy

I know of a way you could avoid seeing the other submissions. I'll only charge you $5 a month for the secret.

I can't believe that people can watch a video like this, and afterwards, half the people in the thread are biatching and moaning about one thing or another.

Brodie: That kid dog is *back*... on the escalator again!

Brodie: Listen, not a year goes by, not a year, that I don't hear about some escalator accident involving some bastard kid dog which could have easily been avoided had some parent - I don't care which one - but some parent conditioned him to fear and respect that escalator.

That was adorable!
