With helpful pic of what a Twinkie knock off may look like.
Oh, no, I take that back. Its a crappy picture that really doesn't show what it looks like at all.
Would it have killed them to pull out a couple of bucks and actually buy a box, open it, and taken a couple of decent shots? Maybe even try them and provide their own critique?

it's hard to believe that people willingly eat that kind of shiat. it's not like tasty desserts have never graced this planet. even merely mediocre desserts are better than that kind of nonsense....

Still have Twinkies here in Canada because here the brand is made by Vachon, a company not run by criminally incompetent idiots.

I expected a headline about gaping, cream and twinks to go in a totally different direction.

Until Hostess blew up, I hadn't heard of or seen twinkies for 20 years... and I was ok with that.

fark twinkies.

I guess I mean a "bakery" quality Twinkie. Something geared to adults.

Crude: Market Basket still exists? Awesome!

Yep, still around. After moving from New York (Price Chopper) years ago I'm totally blown away by MB. No loyalty program, no self checkout, the stores are laid out in a strange fashion, the stores and even the announcements are straight out of the 70s, but it all works. They have great prices and a decent selection of brand name and their own generic foods. Probably helps that the one near me has a packie and a CVS next door so I don't care if it doesnt have a pharmacy or can't buy booze in a grocery store.

2013-01-13 09:56:57 AM
FTFA: But longtime Twinkie fan Daniel Shea of Londonderry, N.H., wasn't impressed. "Store brands are never as good as the real McCoy," he wrote in an e-mail, citing what he called the Golden Creme Cakes' "funny, metallic taste."

When I worked at a supermarket years ago I was told that the store-name brand items were actually made by one of the brand names, just in a different packaging. Obviously it wouldn't be the case here that the store brand is an actual Twinkie, but "Store brands are never as good as the real McCoy" is probably a prejudgment. BTW, all of those diabetes-inducing sacks of shiat have a funny taste.

I don't waste my time splitting hairs over which watery coffee and donuts has a infinitesimally small lead over the other. It's ok, Canadians love them mass produced garbage too it seems.

That, and you don't have the defective "Right to Work" law, but a more sane Rand formula.
