Many of the former Confederate states are listed there. I shouldn't be surprised....

/ we WOULD be better off without them, IMHO.
// I'm sure many Southerners feel the same way about the rest of us....

I hear that now and then, but as an American Citizen living in a derp-red state, I don't take very kindly to the idea of being stripped of my citizenship, generally don't argue with them because, well, they're stupid. But I'm 100% OK with arresting and deporting anyone with a "secede" bumper sticker - assuming there's a nation somewhere on earth that'll accept them.

Maybe a ten-year transition period for succession may be in order here. Anyone who wants to keep their US Citizenship citizenship would have to eventually move, and we would be obligated to pay billions to help people relocate, IMHO.

( IIRC, much like West Germany had to do shortly after 1945, helping to settle & integrate people running away from the East, before the borders were really tightened up...)

It would be win-win.  They can mandate that everyone carry a gun at all times, teach young earth creationism, outlaw homosexuals, execute drug user, defund schools, parks, etc, let industry thrive completely unregulated, go to war with whatever commie muslin country pisses them off...

And the rest of us can live in a prosperous, open, free, first-world society.

Yeah, but at least they could get it their prosperity bible and Randian fantasies of their system and the rest of us have a few decades of freedom from them trying to drag us all back to the middle ages before they come crawling back.

And you know what? I'd still be fine with my tax dollars helping to ease their suffering when they realize how horrible a society their ideas actually result in. But, once they have their own country, if they try to invade the north in an attempt to deflect from their horrible domestic situation, I'm also okay with nuking/annihilating the new Confederacy.

And how is this not a factor of food overproduction? If you did not have massive amounts of cheap food readily available, the premium on your local food would be cost prohibitive for most of the countries population.
