just did. You feeling good about your canaries?

Yeh, Newcastle have a few players back but are in a slump at the moment. If we can get Holt back then it will be a good game. Time to get back to being one of the form teams of Europe.

On paper i think Newcastle have better players. Good job the game is played on grass.

Good to have the footy back. This weekend's too cold without it. Maybe some scotch is in order tonight. Hmmm...

City will close the gap next week (MCFC v FFC, THFC v MUFC), so I'll settle for any results tomorrow that don't reduce the gap.

I don't care what anyone says, I like this Tottenham away kit

2013-01-12 07:50:11 AM
The black and gray is a terrible kit for Tottenham.

Looking forward to a great weekend of matches!

2013-01-12 07:51:07 AM
Is it me, or does Adebayor have no business wearing number 10?

2013-01-12 07:55:31 AM
Two great saves by the QPR keeper. I'm not sure if they'll pull this out, but QPR is looking up to the fight right now.

2013-01-12 07:57:05 AM
Damn, that was close.
Who had money on SWP scoring two in two?

FFPL Report - Round 21

farm9.staticflickr.com

Your FFPL report for Round 21.

After being done in by a rather surprising QPR away win at Chelsea, my lead is now down to a wafer-thin 90 pts. Obamartins making second place his own and he's established a comfortable buffer of 200 pts between him and elguepardo in third. I've been wondering whether or not there is a Dorian Grey effect on the real league table here?

At the bottom The_Known_Universe doubles her score in one leap.

League three players down this week you say? Note my meaningful stare at the newly laid concrete floor in here and that I'm raising BOTH eyebrows. Commitment, gentlemen, or aggregate - the choice is yours.

Obamartins also top-scorer this week with 120, The_Envoy with 105, elguepardo with 95 and Chattanooga_FC with 90.

On the slide we have Langston with -15, 689908 with -20 but the stand-under this week was mitchcumstein1 with a stinging -30.

Undoubted social climber of the week was The_Envoy up 6. A tough three were climbed by elguepardo to drive a wedge between the monochrome leading pack. Some decline experienced by three neighbours, ADubs86 and TottenhamLukewarmspur both down two but Langston down 3.

Page 1/2 membership unchanged, saving hoick-outs.

+1000 club now has 8 members, NorfolkingChance just squeezing in at the last minute. Banker Bonus Club membership slaughtered wholesale after Chelsea vs QPR and to a lesser extent Villa putting up a fight against Swansea. President now kcostell from The_Envoy and NorfolkingChance.

20 pt BB bonus retained by kcostell despite getting 6 of ten predictions wrong. I don't believe anyone has got all ten wrong yet, but we're more than capable of it.

So hung over, but up for the match. Going to actually try and make the pub for the second half.

Taarabt is on fire today.

I'm not sold on those strips of kinetic tape or whatever the call it, less so. When it makes players look like they're wearing garter belts

After the start i had and spending a number of weeks on the 2nd page i'll be happy with a Europa league slot.

Plus its good to see Wing Commander Scott "Brillcream" Parker back in action.

/All hail the chap

You know what sucks about losing weight? I can't drink as much as I used to in the morning. I only had one glass of bourbon instead of 3 like I would have last year.

2013-01-12 08:57:12 AM
Julio Cesar is having a blast from the past day, looking like he did 4 years ago.

2013-01-12 08:58:22 AM
This pitch is horrid. I'm used to turf that looks like a putting green, not clumpy sod.

That's why I'm still a fat bastard.

Well this has been another banker wasted. I'm never going to be good at this game am I?

2013-01-12 09:37:15 AM
'Arry wanted a point, 'Arry got a point.

Dammit.

2013-01-12 09:38:50 AM
Welp, glad I slept through that one.

2013-01-12 09:39:29 AM
Good thing I changed my banker to Spurs last night.

Sonofabiatch.

2013-01-12 09:44:13 AM
Haha suckers! That's why I put my banker on Norwich

2013-01-12 09:51:06 AM
Count me in the Spurs banker club as well.

2013-01-12 09:53:32 AM
Fabio played well in the bits I saw of that game. It's difficult for him with Sir seeing Evra as one of his most reliable and experienced (and fit) players, but the kid has talent.

2013-01-12 09:58:45 AM
Must have 3 pts today at home vs Wigan. Players starting to get healthy. COYW!

2013-01-12 10:21:25 AM
Needed to one-time that sucker.

2013-01-12 10:26:04 AM
Karagounis!!!!! The ageless one strikes again!

I really have no rooting interest in any of this, but now that I actually wake up early-ish on weekend mornings it's nice to have a live sporting event to watch.

Respect to Norwich for going with the Oakland A's color scheme. Too much blue and red in the sports world.

Norwich have been in yellow and green sice the 1907-08 season and wear it after they were nicknamed the Canaries. NCFC founded in 1902.

Oh I figured it had been that way a long time. But it's still new to me, dammit.

Any one see that penalty that Southamton got? The commentators are saying there was daylight between the players.

600 - Giorgios Karagounis' goal for Fulham is the 600th scored in the Premier League so far in 2012-13. Landmark.

About 500 of which are because nobody can defend anymore.

Villa v Saints is a poor game so far. Bad dive for the penalty.

It def. wasn't a pen, but to me it looked as he was avoiding contact and in doing so legitamately hit the dirt.

Norwich are really missing Holt. When he started to play regularly was when Norwich started there unbeaten run. Since his injury we havn't won. Along with Hoolahan he is a vital cog in the machine.

2013-01-12 11:17:34 AM
The color commentator on Fox Soccer couldn't hate this Norwich-Newcastle game more. It's pretty funny. My eye is untrained, but even I can tell it's been really sloppy.

Watching Chelsea / Stoke City,

0-2 Chelsea, another own goal for Jon Walters... really finding the back of the net today.

2013-01-12 11:21:47 AM
I have my banker on the Canaries winning 1 - 0. Am I an idiot?

2013-01-12 11:22:41 AM
OMG SOMETHING ALMOST HAPPENED IN NORWICH!

2013-01-12 11:22:55 AM
Chelsea owe Jon Walters a night out for these three points.

2013-01-12 11:23:59 AM
Goddamnit Stoke, you are farking useless.

Even more than usual.

2013-01-12 11:27:16 AM
Watching Chelsea, 3-0 now....and there was a tight, well not really that tight of an offside. The announcer question the AR, as the camera pans to AR, I see it's Sian. They show the replay and the guy is off by a step and a half to two steps, not even close. Why is it whenever she is the AR, and there is a tight call, they doubt her call first. They don't do this to other ARs as often as they seem to do it to her. The best part is, in every match I see her as AR and there has been a tight call, she has been correct. I know she will be wrong one of these days, but FFS this is the 21rst century, women can be good refs.

Ah, QPR. I was wondering why Spurs would disgrace themselves by sharing a pitch with those worthless vile filthy zombie hun scum crawling out of the third division.

2013-01-12 11:34:08 AM
Chelsea up 0-4 now. Hazard with a fantastic strike. It's weird to see Stoke conceding this much at home.

2013-01-12 11:40:54 AM
I'm really super excited that I took my banker off the 2-0 West Brom win and put it on Spurs. Really happy with myself.

No more late Friday night tinkering, damn it.

2013-01-12 11:48:37 AM
Jinxed the f*ck out of that one.

Holy shiat.
