apoptotic: Most of the time when I see vanity plates I immediately think "they paid extra for that? what the hell were they thinking?" The exception was when I saw one that said ML8 ML8. It was on a white VW Rabbit. I LOL'd.
p51d007: I don't know how other states are, but in my state, driving & operating a motor vehicle is a PRIVILEGE, not a right. Since it is granted by the state, you must accept some restrictions. So, "free speech" doesn't apply.

ggecko: I don't understand why states don't just stop giving out personalized plates. Oh yeah, I forgot, the money....And not that I vandalize cars or anything, but if I ever decided to start, I'd sure single out the cars with personalized plates.
