Huh.... I actually got it.
/go me!

That was pretty damn easy. I got it as soon as I saw the list of unmatched letters. I have solved lots of WoF puzzles prior to any letters being turned. Freaks my family out. The longest one I solved was in the category "Proverb," with blanks:

[_]...[_][_][_][_][_][_]...[_][_]...[_][_][_][_]...[_][_][_][_][_]... [ _][_][_][_]

The percentage of puzzles that give you enough of a clue just by the positions and lengths of the words is pretty damn small, but they do show up now and then. Try it sometime. It's easier than people think it would be.

had98c: Solving the puzzle with no letters is just about the only real challenge left on this show. It's much easier with categories like On the Map since it severely limits what can be in the puzzle. Correctly solved Fargo North Dakota and Providence Rhode Island with no letters that way. Jeopardy! is the same way with Final. Watching it enough you get to the point where you can correctly guess the questions just based on category alone before seeing the answers.

I always try to guess the Final Jeopardy answer before the question is shown, based solely on the category clue.

I've only gotten it once: Category was Musical Theatre and I guessed "HMS Pinafore".

If he'd just merely knelt, he'd realize the only true answer would be

ZOD
