Single men look at porn on average for 40 minutes, three ?times a week, while those with a partner for 20 minutes twice a week.

Reality?
Partnered men continue to lie about porn usage.

Nah, they're just talking about "porn" porn, like 2 traps, a granny, a schoolgirl, and a realdoll.

Watching James Deen plow two barbie clones is what they (I/we) do after meals. Really brightens up your day.

Well, he did tell the Department of Defense he was gay. But then he said he was only lying to avoid the draft.

Brain studies shows porn causes a kind of temporary amnesia, analogous to getting drunk in order to "forget".

Men in a relationship are more likely to live in a house with children, so yeah, they probably don't have near the same level of access.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the porn still exists when I'm done watching it. It's drug lexicon.

I'm about half-way through the video at this time, and it seems so far that it's about "addiction".

Those who are easily susceptible to addiction may be concerned. But it was an interesting listen nonetheless. Thank you. I have watched lots of TED talks and never come across that one.

Sex (or representations of sex) is like everything else in that if you use too much of it, your brain begins to consider it the new baseline, and you have to keep using it to maintain that baseline. Don't believe me? Try doing without it for a while.

Real answer: if you're trying to study something, you want to change as few other variables as possible. They could find someone living in the middle of nowhere who has never seen porn before, but are any resultant effects due to the lack of porn, or due to the lack of contact with civilization?

Sex (or representations of sex) is like everything else in that if you use too much of it, your brain begins to consider it the new baseline, and you have to keep using it to maintain that baseline. Don't believe me? Try doing without it for a while.

In the sense that cultural influence on male hormonal response is considered? Well, ankles were once judged the most `intriguing' of visual cues. Today, the range of cues has become difficult to quantify. The only quality that hasn't altered is the male response to novelty.

Masters and Johnson cleared this up decades ago. Place a male and female together for (let's say) 24hr.s then count the number of erections/copulations/ejaculations. Then, switch out a male's partners every few hours (over 24hr) and make the same measurements. The males in latter group ejaculated far more often. This was explained by Darwin, expanded on by Edward O. Wilson and amply demonstrated by the sheer volume of porn available at the touch of finger - rapid, early expansion of the web itself (a system built primarily by males) can be, in a not insignificant manner, accounted for by increasing ease of access to novelty simulation/stimulation.

The female sex is offered approx. 300 opportunities, during reproductive lifetime, to pass on genes. The process is often dangerous and can kill, it is a huge investment of energy/resources (it pays to be discerning). Males? Minimal energy expenditure, wired for strong visual excitation and resultant hormone flow leading to the ol' spilling the seed on the ground. Best advice to the ladies is to allow the male access to whatever visual cues he likes when he likes. It's certainly no reflection on the female. He's a dog, but he's your dog (Hank Williams Sr., Elvis and Iggy pretty much laid it out). Just comfort yourself in your fine choice - your dog isn't out there farking your best friend Carla's dead poodle fifi in a ditch across from a school...

Meh, less that 50% of households have children living at home
http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/nation/census/2009-02-25-familie s- kids-home_N.htm

hehehehehehehehe
right because people who live in houses with children dont have any locks on the doors
nor do the children ever sleep, nor do the children every grow up, nor do those men ever have to lie to their wives about looking at porn.

I swear, the number of men that I know whose WIVES think that their husbands dont look at porn cracks me up. So along with hiding the porn from their children, which is proper, they also have to hide it from their wives.

Which has farkall to do with porn and more to do with not ejaculating. Don't whack off for a two week break and then take matters in hand. Take note how much better the wank is.

Here's a test for all mothers to see if your teenage boys masturbate:

Does your child end up stuck to his bedsheets every morning with his own semen?

If not, he masturbates (or gets laid, but you'd probably have some idea about that from the stuff his girlfriend does to mark him as hers).

/if so, I pity your laundry bill
//and even more the poor kid, as you've broken him already with your efforts to stop him from masturbating

On the flipside, I havent played born hunter in a while. I have been cycling through my current collection.
Would returning to porn hunting make things WORSE or keep them the same. Who knows.
It is amazing and amusing that we are now starting to study this subject from the back side.
Our only control group is people who have quit. Not perfect, but better than none.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Is there ANY chance that I could actually do this, quit for a day? week? month? 90 farking days???
sigh

How are they defining porn? I see some people define any image/video of a person with their clothes off as porn, while others would only define images/video that actually shows some form of sexual activity as porn...
