(Yahoo)   Last fall, Prada looked to the past, showing us Willem Dafoe and Gary Oldman looking dashing in steampunk-inspired menswear. This winter, men's fashion looks to the future... and it's not so pretty   ( divider line

My dream scenario involves a plane full of fashion designers crashing into the ballroom where they are holding CEO-Con.

Subby here, and you're all welcome for the laffs.

Sum_guy: I like the headline, but GIS seems unable to find any pictures of Gary Coleman in a steampunk suit.
Do any farkers have them?

Oldman, not Coleman. And here's Oldman, Dafoe, Bell and Hedlund looking steamy. Much like the link.

Although Gary Coleman doing steampunk would have been hilarious.

The future is here!

I so missed that episode, apparently. I remember a lot of shiat going on aboard the Enterprise-D (women in pants! Counselor Troi in those bodysuits!), but the "man in a skirt" completely eluded me. Episode citation, please?

Cuchulane: Pretty sure that most of the fashion industry is just trolling.

It's the same thing as modern art: Throw shait at a wall and just say that it's too complex for normal people to understand.

I was at MOMA recently to see the Impressionist stuff, and walked around in the other galleries just for a kick. A few interesting pieces, but good god, was there a lot of crap. I particularly liked the one with hair that was probably donated to make wigs for chemo patients hung on chicken wire.

I mean seriously? Newsflash to the fashion industry: The Emperor is wearing a fence on his face!

"Kill me now, goddammit!"

Looks like those pics of little dogs in sweaters.  Hating every minute of it, and amusing their horrible owners.
