Actually, he's pretty consistent about seven loops, subby.

So, "Sincerely, OoooOoo".

He's just trying to show us what an "O" face looks like on money, which can be a benefit when certain transactions are taking place and the service "professional" doesn't understand english.

Anyone want to tell me what the pictures are of? My browser always treats Buzzfeed like it's one giant pop-up flash ad.

I appreciate that Buzzfeed is out there creating a butt-load of content to help everyone get through the work day but good god is most of it awful

It's too late for us, but Glenn Beck was right. Tell your children .... he was right.

This might be a new low.

Curls and loops. Not even funny pictures of curls and loops. Just boring ones.

I was late to the last Jack Lew thread with this, so I'm going to try it again:

See because the lights are all tangled up in loops, and Lew rhymes with Jew, and....and yeah, you're right, it's not funny.

He'll fit in just fine. His signature is a series of assholes, just like the rest of the government.

I knew a man once who was retired from the "intelligence community" and "foreign service". His signature was also a series of loops, and while it seemed ridiculous, it is supposedly nearly impossible to reproduce by forgery.

2013-01-11 03:17:34 PM
I saw the signature and immediately thought of Kurt Vonnegut's drawing of "where babies come from (NSFW)."  Upon second look, it's not as close as I remember, though if we had a "photoshop the signature" thread, it's what I'd do.

You do know that cursive is out of fashion in the Internet Age? Most elementary schools don't even teach it anymore. Mr. Hancock would have to print his name in block letters.

Anyone who has to sign his/her name a gazillion times a day is going to end up with something resembling a Chinese "chop" rather than a string of letters that can be decrypted by someone who isn't used to it. My signature has humps and verticals in the proper order and that's about it. You can trace its gradual decay from college throughout my subsequent career.

My mother used to tease my father (a career army officer) about the illegibility of his signature. His reply was that no soldier had ever yet turned down a 3-day pass with that scribble on it.

Still, . . . I don't see a single stroke in Lew's signature that can be related even remotely to any actual letter that appears in his name. "Jack Lew" doesn't have a single "O" in it. He must have decided to adopt a post-modern signature.

Loopygate is shaping up to be the biggest scandal of the Obama years!
