I make a point to take all the cameras on display at Best Buy and take a quick shot down my pants.

I don't know what's worse, the fact that someone got shafted on a camera, or the fact that someone is admitting to buying a camera at Kmart.

Who buys cameras anymore? Just use the one on your phone. Or your a professional photographer and you probably don't shop for camera equipment at Kmart...

99 percent of phone camera pictures are complete and utter crap, even compared to the most basic of cameras in KMart. Some of us want to take souvenir pictures that look better that blurred underlit crap.

Anyone who wants good photos with decent image quality at a longer than arms-length distance.

Or wants to take a picture somewhere that doesn't have the same amount of light as high-noon.

I guess that's one way to test the macro mode.

I didn't think the ones on display had the SD card in them, because people were stealing the card.

I think the in-store shots were on the camera's internal memory.

I bought a floor model camera at Circuit City (remember them?) once, at a reduced price. There were some store-taken photos inside, including one of some anonymous punk chick trying her best to look alluring. That image still cracks me up.

The non-standard rechargable battery pack crapped out within a month or so, and so I determined that buying a floor model wasn't any kind of a bargain.

Whenever I go by electronics in target the camera displays always catch my eye. Never bought one there and years ago working at target I can't remember even selling one sans-black Friday.

Some years back, I bought a speakerphone w/a digital-record answering machine built in, for my landline (which, b/c of work, I still need, so save it). I normally don't use answering machines, but was surprised to find that there were messages on mine. Played 'em all, and man was it hilarious, like a microphone on the wall of some angry Real Housewives bizzle calling someone else. Much of the noise was related to her suing someone, so you can guess how that sounded.

Why on earth would you buy a camera at K-mart?

At least invest a little money in something that'd be a method of keeping track of your memories.

Someone needs to tell the Consumerist that whoever took those images owns the copyright to them. If it was me I'd issue a DMCA takedown notice and demand payment from the Consumerist.

Oh, and I'd write a letter to the Consumerist complaining about the Consumerist using my images. Think they'd publish that?
