I assume this comic takes place in an alternate universe where all the TIE pilots are drunk as shiat.

In the comic world, this only means the issues have been sold to comic shops, not consumers. So, thousands of copies could be sitting on shelves unsold and the company can still crow about a sellout.

It's too bad Dark Horse has to give up the Star Wars license at the end of the year. They've been doing a great job on the property for about 20 years now.

yeah pretty much this. those "sold out" books will be in back issue bins unsold to consumers soon enough.

Got all 6 of them signed by Veitch and Dorman a number of years ago. Love that series.

That's why waiting six months or so is usually smart... You can get these books for a dollar or so because retailers want to make some of their money back and clear out overstock.

Star Wars is the first comic book series I've tried going all digital with. Unlike Marvel, Dark Horse actually lowers the price after a month to $1 or $2--been a very good experience so far (in spite of my impatience).

I'm curious: is it all new continuity now that Disney owns the property? Or is it just a continuation of the EU that's been going on since the Thrawn Trilogy? Reason I ask is didn't these guys ever get any downtime? Seriously, it's like they go from one crisis to the next. And you know they are doomed to fail because the Sith take back control of the galaxy in a hundred and thirty years.

Was that a woman piloting an x-wing? If she doesn't end up crashing into a star destroyer, it's going to spell disaster for whatever capital ship she's going to try and land on.

There's a reason why, when fans used to talk about the Star Wars movies they wanted made, that no one mentioned Dark Empire - because it's batsh*t crazy. It suffered from the worst impulses of its creators - a clone emperor, even bigger death machines, Luke deciding to go to the Dark Side because it was Tuesday.

The Star Wars legacy Cade Skywalker stuff was great. Had a beginning, a middle, and an end rather than dragging out forever.

Abs on top of abs with abs?

Legs that end with single-toed feet?

Aye. They were one of the very best 3rd party producers of anything Star Wars.

Hey you guys that can doodle out there in Farkland:

The lead TIE fighter in the picture- What is going on with it's "wing"? Is it my imagination or is it missing a piece of the 6 sided shape of the panel?

Or is it some special TIE fighter with crazy side panels?
