Came here to post exactly that. I was expecting to see it at number 1.

DA was number one?  No "playoffs" rant, or "clown their asses"?  or tyson or the aforementioend suzy kolber kiss?  what a shiat list!  Bobby Knight's various meltdowns?  tommy lasorda's "kurt farkin' bevacqua cuoldn't farkin' hit water if he farkin' fell outta farkin; boat!", lee elia's timeless "wrigley field is a playground for assholes" interview meltdown?

Mike Leach's "Fat Little Girlfriends" rant is probably my all time favorite.

Andy Roddick sounds like a cock.

"Excuse me?"

"You gotta have the skeels."

"The what?"

"The skeels."

How about Drew Rosenhaus outside TO's house. Next question.

A less-publicized good one came in last year's NCAA wrestling championships, when Cornell's Cam Simaz won the title; supposedly, before the match, Simaz had remarked that his opponent was completely buff and Simaz was a "stringbean" by comparison. The announcers talked about it through the whole match. Simaz was interviewed after the match (like in tennis, it's an interview that's played over the arena PA system) and the guy asked him how it felt for the "stringbean" to win. Simaz stopped in his tracks and said "Dude, look at me. Don't insult me in front of all these people." The interviewer could only say, awkwardly, "your word, not mine." (Simaz was, in fact, quite lanky compared to his opponent, but of course had some guns of his own.)

"You play. To win. The game."

"If you want to crown 'em, then crown their asses!"

"Playoffs? Playoffs?"

"I'm a man! I'm forty!"
"We don't need a bunch of cats in there, we need to act like a bunch of dogs." (obscure?)

None of these are on the list, for reasons passing understanding.

I guess they assumed anything that's already in Press Hop, doesn't need to be mentioned again.

Most of those weren't interviews, just rants at press conferences.

Two they definitely missed were Suzy Kolber/Joe Namath and the Pete Rose/Jim Grey interview. Also I'd throw in the more recent TJ Simers troll job of Jim Mora.

There are press conferences on that list. And the ones I listed have the luxury of being both awkward AND hilarious.

Which reminds me of the less recent Doug Gottlieb troll job of Jim Mora.

/Mora is a douchebag who deserves to be trolled

That's the first time I heard that interview. I don't know how Simers didn't get punched there.

There's an entire blog named after that interview and it's not even listed?

Horrible.

First of all, i swear that was the last time i click on a bleacher report link, it is a horrible website.

secondly, interview 19 is why I hate sports broadcasters. If someone doesn't want to answer a question, respect that, and move on. Don;t turn into a whiny little biatch, don't say "it's for the fans." I truly doubt they care

It is not your right to know. i rarely side with the players, but on this one i do.

I thought the Pete Rose/Jim Grey interview was pretty out of line given then context.

A bleacher report list sucks? My, my, that is quite shocking.
