Wow, he forgot to do the weapons again and had to add them in (poorly) at the last minute.

Right arm, which is farther away, is larger than the left. Also doesn't fit body position.

Hips are very asymmetrical.

Belt holding daggers only has half a strap.

At least we don't have feet for him to screw up.

willfullyobscure: Back off of Ramos, man. He literally invented the big shoe style.

See, if you combine Ramos with Liefeld you'd get some normal-looking legs for once.

rocky_howard: Fun Fact: The males aren't posing like the female.

That's how women are drawn in comics. Almost all the farking time. It doesn't matter what direction they're facing, their ass is always shown. Somehow.

I understand that the target market is 14 year old boys, but its silly and exaggerated especially in the hands of one R. Liefeld.

Keep going!

Her boob window is perfectly square, while laying on top of said boobage.
There's no strap or anything holding the, what I can only assume, is another sword on her back.
Teeth are one uniform piece of pure white enamel.

And that's why Liefeld became and remains the poster boy. Most comics artists start out crappy and rise to competence. Despite time and success, his natural talent remains.

It took Liefeld to make me a fan of Don Heck.

theorellior: Serial Killer X: Sure, these are from September last year.

Liefeld always makes me LOL, when he's not making me groan or facepalm. I mean, what the hell is up with the chest on that grey dude?

The sad thing is, all I did was get the most recent Liefield comic I have and flick through it. I had no idea those pictures would be in it. He's consistently crap and that picture in the bottom right shows he's learned nothing about drawing chests since Cap.

I'm trying to figure out how those breasts exist without nipples. Well... Unless she had a double mastectomy and had reconstruction without the nipple tats. It also bothers me how badly the top lays on her chest.

The funny thing is, I can tell there are problems with that drawing, but it's so damn good for a Liefeld that I just gloss over them. It's like my brain is saying, "Hey, it's not a complete hot mess, Rob, I'll give you a pass on this one."

FlashHarry: liefeld's captain is still one of the worst things i've ever seen in my life.

And I think that was the only repeat offender of Liefeld's that I've seen on Fark before (at least I don't think most of that list is repeats of Liefeld sucking as an artist).

Fair enough. But can you at least start coming up with some new examples of how terrible he is? These ones show up on every single "terrible comic book art" list. I'm sure somebody out there can come up with a decent timeline for him at this point.

Liefeld keeps making the same mistakes over and over. Some of these just felt like repeats.

EXACTLY.
Our comic store went from 10 people getting Hawkman to 1 as soon as he was mentioned to take over.

My favorite Rob scene was from a very early Youngblood issue, can't find the pages, but guy has a scar on the right eye/face then a couple frames later it is on the left side then the next frame it is on the right side again... so I assumed that was the guys 'power' making his scar move from one side of his face to the other... classic Rob.

I suppose this explains why Alex Ross is the only popular comics illustrator.

Superheroes are not realistic. They do not need to look realistic. They wear brightly colored costumes, are all in above average shape, and adopt pseudonyms when their identities are public.

Wait...  is that actually that character's name?  Maybe he should draw more and write less.

How about the sword handle that isn't parallel to the sword blade? Ignoring the usual oddities of perspective. The man clearly used a ruler to draw the blade! How hard is it to line up the handle?

Yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of either of those, but artistic license has to mean something. If everyone were to draw things photorealistically, it would get pretty damn boring pretty damn quick.

Nope, because it's just a completely biased approach comparing semi-realistic art with intentionally comical art for the purpose of mockery as a way to transition the emotion people would feel with the mockery art towards the original one. Thanks but I'm not 12 or so easy to manipulate. Also I'm a veteran tumblrer, I saw the birth of this thing.
