These guys should just focus on getting something that will go viral without needing to blow a million dollars on TV time. Stick it up on Youtube, have some intern to submit to the Reddit and Fark feeds, profit. Given how many people just wait for the Top 10 Super Bowl commercials to hit Youtube the Monday after, as opposed to watching commercials, it can't be worth what the networks charge.

/puppy bowl highlights during the Super Bowl commercials is clearly the way to do things now

FTA: Some Super Bowl ads cost record $4M,

Isn't every year a 'record' year? Have the cost of ads ever gone down?

Next year, ads will cost a record $4.1 million. Then $4.15 million, $4.25 million, etc, etc.

They needn't worry. There are legions of dullards who would sooner fill their pants than miss out on those wonderful, side-splittingly hilarious, life-affirming commercials. They're good for hours of meaningful twitter posts and in-depth discussions with their coworkers the next day.

The gluttony of America is alive and well.
"Oh wow, it's a commercial with Kim Kardashian discussing pop culture with a hologram of Albert Einstein. Isn't that funny and ironic? Buy Doritos".

Given the low number of posts here, I suspect they have a bigger problem than bathroom breaks.
