It's funny how Maldonado faded into the background once Grosjean tore the grid apart at Spa. Perhaps he, like Petrov, has settled down a little - after all the commotion in late 2011 we rarely heard from the Rudderless Russian last season.

Anyone noticed the high turnover specifically among the veterans? With Schumi and De La Rosa gone, the five oldest drivers on the grid now are Webber, Kimi-bob, Button, Massa, and Alonso.

Petrov was rarely within 30 seconds of anyone other than his teammate or the Marussias. He simply didn't have anyone to run into.

This year will be interesting. Last year of known commodity engines and gear boxes. Aero and structures mostly the same.

Next year might be a crap shoot with the new 6 cylinder turbo engines. I think we'll see lots of reliability problems with that platform at the start. I foresee some potentially very surprising finishes from teams using an engine manufacturer that figured it out quickly.

Am I the only one here who doesn't get NBC Sports? I'll only get to see Maldonado crash four times this season.

Hopefully they'll stream online, like they do for NFL.

They have said that they will stream the races online.

Upset that there won't be a race in New Jersey. I was hoping to hear the v8s at least once in my life.

That's only postponed until 2014, at this point. Who the hell knows with anything F1 if things will change.

In other news, it sounds like the proposed return to Turkey for this year is off. You get one guess as to the cause.

You still can.
