For a SO, I once bought a sealed Riverdance CD and inserted two Orchestra tickets to the Broadway show. She never figured out how I did that one. Same girl, I pinholed a dozen eggs; blew out the whites and yolks; washed, dried, and dyed them; and inserted tiny paper scrolls with a different "special date night" promise inscribed. Told her to open one a month.

My current SO, just before taking her comp exams, I gave a candy "tree," dozens of each type of her favorite mini candy bars individually glued to styrafoam in a tree shape and "planted" in a weighted flowerpot.

None of which is newsworthy either, but all of which is way more than what this guy did. No humble in my brag....
