He's an amazing actor. That being said, he's batshiat crazy. At least it's in a good way, and not a Kirk Cameron way.

"Steven,

I changed my mind. I think I'd like to give Abraham Lincoln a shot.

Sincerely,
DDL

I just had a mental image of DDL getting Kirk Cameron to say "I am a false prophet. God is a superstition" over and over again before clubbing him on the head with a bowling pin.

He may be a little crazy but at least he never flashed his crotch getting out of a limo. You'd got to figure a guy like him never bothers to do any manscaping down there.

I want to see iy just to see how they handled the Queen song at the end. Did they play the entirety of "Who Wants to Live Forever"? Part of it? Instrumental only? Orchestral only with no vocals?

Could have gone a number ways.

Sally Field was farking terrible in that movie. DDL was absolutely amazing, but Sally Field, the guy that plays Gail from Breaking Bad, Tommy Lee Jones, and Joseph Gordon Levitt sucked absolute ass anytime they were on screen.

'There will be blood" was a horrible, horrible movie. I do not remember which bothered me more, Daniel Day Lewis's overacting, Paul Dano's complete lack of acting skills whatsoever, the lack of character development, the unrealistic characters themselves, the dialogues, the uninteresting story, the ridiculous ending, or the bad music. It never was, and never will be, a good movie. It's just sort of a bad remake of "Giant".

Okay, there's being wrong, then there's being wrong to such a great extent that you run the risk of reversing Earth's gravity. And since I don't want to see the entire world population being thrusted into the stratosphere, cut it out.

The scene in Lincoln where everyone is crowded around the telegraph machines anxiously awaiting news from Wilmington and Abe secretly appears and proceeds to tell a story about George Washington which both calms everyone down and puts things into perspective a bit...well.. that's probably my favorite scene in the movie.

I watched the version in which some of the actors chosen weren't good choices. Sally Field played Sally Field, not Mary Todd. I was waiting for TJL to pull out his ray-bans at any second, and Gail to sign Major Tom. They just didn't fit their roles.

I agree with you on TLJ. To me whatever character he plays he always just TLJ. I lost DDL in Lincoln. By the end of the movie I couldn't even see DDL anymore, just Lincoln, it was amazing. I thought SF was a very sympathetic Molly Todd.

//Has JGL been in every movie this year? Damn! Not complaining, just glad we don't have to see SLB or is it just SL?

It was horrible in the sense that I wanted to take a shower, hug my children, and cry for an hour.

I showed my seven year-old the milkshake scene, minus the clubbing. Out of context, he thought it was hysterical. I made root beer floats a few weeks later. We sat down, he looked at me, and yelled, "DRAINAGE DADDY! DRAAAAAIIINNNNAGE!" Then proceeded to recite the speech from memory. It was awesome. shiat like that is why you have kids.

Sally Field was too old to play MTL. Mary Todd Lincoln was only 41 in 1860.

You must take into account life was much harder back then. A 41 year old woman in the 1800s prob the equivalent of a 55-65 year old desiccated coont today.

Really? I'm going to have kids in order to get terrible poetic revenge on my parents who are now too old to be retaliated against.

I love DDL and loved Lincoln.
But as others above, I hated Sally Field...it was just Sally Field.

I watched for DDL and was hoping for a great supporting cast, unfortunately the 'big' names don't even compare...I was more impressed with the biatcharacters than the rest.
