From the article, the point they're making: "Thirty percent of respondents who identified as spiritual said they had used drugs, a number that was nearly twice as much as the 16% of religious respondents who said they had used drugs, according to the study."
Their interpretation: Being spiritual without being religious makes you more likely to use drugs.
MY INTERPRETATION: Being religious makes you a liar.

Nah. One of the sad things about Xtians is that a lot of them avoid drugs because Jeebus. It's particularly tragic when they're hot girls.

Man, I have a theory about that... so many times I've chatted up or met some girl, then at some point thought "this girl is *particularly* crazy" -- like deep psychological imbalance -- only to have her later tell me she's a psych major. It can't be coincidence.

Someone is just unhappy they aren't getting that 10% of income.

So... I'm sitting at the Burger King next to the Home Depot and I've just eaten dinner.

I got in my truck and pulled out of the space. I look around to figure out which exit to use, and I go to the side that's comingled with the Home Depot driveway. Instead of making the left I made the right and proceeded to go buy a houseplant.

I don't know why I did that, but I found myself rationalizing the decision as I was walking to the cash register. I can imagine all sorts of people using God as their rationalization for doing things they didn't understand.

I think I was just depressed.
