Why?

Someone better green this - we need maximum gangnam - its the only way to rid this evil from our midst.

The first 5 seconds were cool. I was all: "Huh." Then, farking stupid. "Op..Op..Op..Open Condom store."

Yawn.

2013-01-09 02:01:32 PM
NEDM could save that

I want the 10 seconds it took to realise it's a very short animated loop back.

Now make them do the whole thing and I'll be... well meh about it as well actually.

2013-01-09 02:13:34 PM
you could walk forward and backward but you couldn't turn.... so you couldn't look from any other angles.

Either way, neat proof of concept.

WebGL?  No thank you.  OpenGL and anything derived from it is for babies.

So thats what the demons do back in hell when they are not invading Mars, the moon or Earth. They dance to Gungnam style all day.

Now I am glad I got DOOM 3 BFG edition. I can just nuke them all with my BFG 9000 for this.

Stop. Just..... stop

At least go into Source Filmmaker and have the cast of TF2 and make a full video out of it (camera moves and all), not just some weedy-ass 10-second loop. This might have well been on YTMND.com.

Yes you can, just click in the window(Chrome gives a prompt saying the site wants to hide my cursor, just click ok).

So are you a D3D-or-die kind of guy? If so, why?

And nothing of value was lost

Man I remember back in the day the nVidia Riva128 vs 3dfx Voodoo arguments used to be absolutely epic.

16-bit color should be sufficient for anyone!

Hey, something good finally came out of that horrid pile of shiat game. Yay!

This isn't like Doom 3 at all. It's actually bright enough to see.

Nothing, not even Amigaholes, competes with the epicness of the SoundBlaster VS Gravis Ultra Sound pissing matches. Ah, Usenet. So many fond memories.

OpenGL is awesome for being a totally open source 3D engine. WebGL is pretty amazing as it allows HW acceleration on any platform. I'd love to dig into the code for this, as it's fairly impressive and a preview as to what our 'post-Flash' lives will be like.

I raster my own triangles to the screen.

Not really.  Just trollin.  In my mind, it's best to know both for porting purposes.

I presume this is on the level of the barney mod for doom1

Why hasn't this guy's 15 minutes expired?

Fano: I presume this is on the level of the barney mod for doom1

No. Because at least the barney mod for Doom was funny (for all of 10min). This is quite literally 3 characters from Doom 3 doing the shuffle and hand wiggle moves from Gangnam Style in a loop... it's not even beat matched to be in time to the music.

As an example of WebGL's capabilities it's pretty god damn dire.

Waveya's Gangnam Style routine will continue to be the best in my opinion.

I'd forgotten about that one. Holy crap. I'll take the one in blue. And how in the hell can they dance in spiked high heels like that? Ouch... and hot...

And we're done. Call me when it's a W3C standard, once they've plugged the security holes.

And this.

/seriously, that game was just a too-dark demo for the D3 engine...

Gangnam Style was old and tired by the end of the original video. at least I assume it was, I never made it to the end.
