looks fake to me

/why did it take Trump so long to release it? I'm just asking questions.

2013-01-09 01:02:30 PM
We need the long form certificate.

2013-01-09 01:04:37 PM
It's truly amazing that The Donald would make a big deal out of the fact that Obama hadn't released the original long form birth certificate, and then in order to satisfy a (clearly joke) bet, he releases something other than the original long form birth certificate.

2013-01-09 01:07:50 PM
Hopefully the charities actually receive something from this. Otherwise, it's just more posturing by both the Donald and Maher.

2013-01-09 01:53:25 PM
How do we know his father wasn't a circus orangutan named Fred C. Trump? It is a perfectly reasonable question to ask. I see no note of his species on this. I cry fake. FAKE. Also, something pixels something.

And why didn't the attending physician sign it? Why!?!?

They didn't have dot matrix printers back in 1946. Maher should demand the original.

Bull. We need DNA sequencing of Trump, his parents, and a statistically meaningful sample of orangutans.

....and even then.....

Only Donald Trump would actually produce his birth certificate when someone accuses his mother of having sex with a monkey.

"Nu-uh... look, you're wrong! It says right here, my dad is human! Ha ha... you LOSE! Now pay up!"

Nowhere on this birth certificate does it specify that one "Fred C. Trump" is a human rather than an orangutan or other ape:
1-ps.googleusercontent.com

So the question of Trump's parents' species is still an open question.  There's nothing about the name "Fred" that establishes Trump's father as human.  Quite the contrary, in fact--it should be noted that one of the most popular TV figures of that era was, in fact, a chimpanzee who starred on the Today Show:

4.bp.blogspot.com

The name of that chimp?  Why, of course, it was J. Fred Muggs, the same first name as Trump's father.  Coincidence, or something more?  I'm just asking questions.

2013-01-09 02:45:42 PM
That's not a birth certificate.  It's a certification of birth.

What are you hiding, "Donald?"

Take a normal human - remove reason, accountability, ethics and the ability to self-criticize - then realize that Trump is actually a worse person and you'll never question anything he ever does again.

Trump offered to donate several million to charity if Obama released his college transcripts. Starving orphans with cancer and AIDS waited desperately for Trump to donate the money but the Donald decided to base a charitable donation on politics instead.

It just looks to me that Trump is being his typical douchy self.

News flash, Mr. Trump... When someone like Bill Mahr makes a bet in a monologue on his show, that is hardly a legally binding agreement. And you are an idiot.

Worth it. History shows that Trump had to prove he wasn't the spawn of his mother having sex with an orangutan, willingly showed proof, rather than laughing it off, even though he didn't need the money.
So he's either overly vain or overly avaricious, Either way, history will show he was an asshole.

Why all the hatin on Bill Mahr?

I know he has said a handfull of douchy things, but I think he's pretty funny. I guess when he's not saying totally douchy things.

Trump on the other hand, there is no "turn off the asshold" switch.

Maher is funny, and was being funny.  As a comedian, that's expected and welcome.  Trump is the opposite of a comedian.  Trump is blowing this way out of proportion in a sad, misguided attempt at being amusing and relevant.

Maher won the Biggest Douche Bag Award years ago with this:

"We have been the cowards lobbing cruise missiles from 2,000 miles away. That's cowardly. Staying in the airplane when it hits the building, say what you want about it, it's not cowardly."

From that point forward, so far as I'm concerned, Bill Maher could die in fire and I would dance.

Not that Donald Trump isn't an incredible douche bag of course, just a shrewder one.

Maher frequently takes on sacred cows in our society, and he is not shy about doing it.  This makes some people, even some liberals, uncomfortable, because they don't want to be associated with someone who attacks touchy subjects so brazenly and without delicacy (especially religion).

This drives me crazy, and I apologize for picking on you for it, but you raised the point..

While I disagree with the part of his statement that referenced the U.S. military (they are not cowardly), his comment about the terrorists was dead on if you stop and think about it for a second.  Although I have no problem calling them evil, despicable and misguided, they weren't cowards based on what they actually believed.  Yes, I believe that their beliefs are 100% WRONG, but if a guy believes his god wants him to kill innocent infidels and will reward him for accepting his holy mission of jihad, well then piloting a plane into a building at the cost of one's own life isn't "cowardly".

Let me be crystal clear here: in NO WAY am I praising, accepting or otherwise even CLOSE to justifying terrorism or the 9/11 terrorists.  They are terrorists, which means they are the worst the world has to offer and they should all die.  That being said, being cowardly just isn't a factually-accurate descriptor.  It just isn't.  And Bill wasn't wrong about that.

You know, I try to give comedians a break, I love Leary's stand up and hate his politics and watch Miller regardless of which side of the political spectrum he is taking swings at. Maher... he is Michael Moore in a jester hat. He hides a very superficial understanding behind bloviating and scripted verbosity and while he takes shots at sacred cows it is purely conservative targets he puts in his cross hairs unlike.... for example... Penn & Teller. The comments he made about Sarah Palin's kids, conservative women in general, and his sycophantic love affair with the president put him way outside of my rather generous boundaries. Well it depends on the frame of reference.

Ultimately, their end goal is to spread the word of Allah to all of us heathens, and they decided on a course of action ( 9/11) that provided the least amount of resistance. Rather than, say, open combat with US soldiers, or even unarmed protest against us. With that in mind, it's clear to see that going up against armed combatants is infinitely braver than targeting unsuspecting civilians. And, conversely, murdering unarmed and unsuspecting men women and children is infinitely more cowardly.

That said, I understand your point, that on a personal level it takes something ( which I hesitate to call bravery, but yea) to pull off the actual act. It's just that like with most things, it's relative, and there's really no need to give them the benefit of the doubt here..

OK, I see your point.

I would say that "cowardly" is sitting in the relative safety of one's home country and celebrating the loss of innocent life, but we'd just be arguing semantics at that point.

I merely think that people jumped all over Maher for the comment without even giving it any actual thought, because "OMG you can't say something about the terrorists that isn't negative!"  They assumed that by denying the terrorists were "cowards" Bill was in some way praising them, which he clearly wasn't.

agreed, however Maher brings it upon himself in my opinion, and probably not entirely unintentionally. I have to believe there is a more articulate way of critiquing the US army's use of cruise missles than holding up one of the most horrible acts of terror in US history as a shining example of how to conduct a war.

Seconded on this point.

My biggest problem with that "joke" is that I think he stole it from Bill Hicks.

Cyberluddite: The name of that chimp?  Why, of course, it was J. Fred Muggs, the same first name as Trump's father.  Coincidence, or something more?  I'm just asking questions.

This reminds me of my favorite WND bookstore author. This a direct quote. I am not making this up:

In 1960, a fellow named "Johnny" was making his reputation in Seattle's club scene as a left-handed guitarist with a local band known as the Rocking Kings. Two days older than Ann, this tall, thin young black man was not at all abashed about dating white women [...]

Of course, as you may have guessed, Johnny decided to use the stage name "Jimi" and changed the spelling of his last name from "Hendricks" to "Hendrix." In a further Paul-is-dead kind of twist, Obama cites as his personal marker for 1967 the fact that "Jimi Hendrix performed at Monterey" [...]

And, of course, Obama, like Hendrix, is left-handed.
 ....

So you see, because Taxbongo's mom was at one point in a city where a black guy was known to date white women, the issue of FartNambla's real father has been put to rest.

And the number of qualifiers you had to put into those paragraphs are exactly why he stepped into a hornet's nest.

But, while we're on that topic, he's certainly correct that there's nothing particularly brave about push-button warfare.  I will absolutely agree that troops who are facing mortal peril deserve to be called brave, but bombing people with cruise missiles or attacking them with drones isn't in any meaningful sense of the word.

It may be effective, it may be tactically smart, and it may have any amount of practical value, but it just isn't brave. You may as well claim bravery for playing Halo.

Bill's real sin on that one was a failure to recognize just how hurt and, frankly, irrational everyone was feeling in the immediate aftermath of a traumatic event. On the other hand, wasn't the very name of the show Politically Incorrect?

Not to mention that even if he were half orangutan, that would make his children a quarter orangutan. Didn't know so many Farkers were into gingers.

How do we know they're his biological children? He could have adopted them after their mother was raped and murdered in 1990, by an unidentified, heavy-set intruder.

Trivia Jockey: FunkOut: Donald Trump is simply mentally ill.

My take is that he's not as intelligent as he'd have you believe, and he's also such a narcisist that he needs to constantly pump himself up in the media and tout his so-called accomplishments.

Or maybe it's Aspergers.

2013-01-09 07:26:39 PM

Ahhh_Ennui: How do we know his father wasn't a circus orangutan named Fred C. Trump? It is a perfectly reasonable question to ask. I see no note of his species on this. I cry fake. FAKE. Also, something pixels something.

Even without the circus orangutan it proves nothing as nobody verifies that the father named really is the father.

Do you guys get paid per post or per response?

The thing about bill maher and the "cowards" statement, was that he was just vaguely agreeing with something Dinesh D'souza had said secodns before, on the show.
You know Dinesh D'souza, the tea party sweetheart and man behind the movie 2016?

D'souza made these exact same comments, to which maher was replying, and maher got ostracized.

Fark you and your short memoried teabagging nonsense.

Best part, Maher waited to confront D'souza until 2012, when he invited him on to Real time.

Forward to 7:00 for when Maher throws him under the bus.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09i2YvLPZuE (NSFW Language)

I don't necessaruily agree with either of their comments, but, both had the right to say them, and apparently only Maher got Dixie Chicked. D'souzas a patriot.

If it makes you feel any better know that at least this farker has the exact same level of respect for both of them. The Dixie Chicks were in my estimation no different than any other self-absorbed entertainers so enthralled with the bully pulpit that fame has afforded them that they cannot possibly see why anyone wouldn't consider everything coming out of their song holes as important. They did little but help divide things even more and then got all weepy because other Americans got to have their voices heard in what amounted to a 3 ring derp circus when it was all over.

I'm not sure who the two you have equal contempt for, is it Maher and D'spuza? Or maher and the Dixie Chicks? I only used Dixie Chicks as a euphemism.

In any case, my point being: D'souza said exactly the same thing Maher said, before Maher even said it, yet Maher was ostraczed.
D'souza got a pass because, well, he's a conservative, and Maher, well, he's a Pinko Atheist Commie.
Maher was being a bit smarmy when when he said to D'souza the he was attacked because he was famous, and D'souza was a nobody.

So, It's OK for the Tea Party to embrace D'souza, yet attack Maher, cause patriotism, and he made that great move.

Well, I didn't mention holding them in contempt. And I was talking about Maher and D'spuza. There's maybe one Dixie Chick song I think I liked.

And I thought you were being, ... well, different about this issue. When D'souza says "they weren't cowards", and Maher says, "Correct, but we are", they aren't saying the same thing.

And it's still really sad and pityingly funny how much Trump and the right STILL keep going on about Obama's birth certificate. Nobody was this nut-punching retarded with the WHITE President who WAS born in a different country.

/and yes, I'll say it because it's true: racism is the greatest part of the right's mindset about their attitude and actions towards Obama. No white Democrat has ever gotten this amount of dipshiattery leveled at him

The Maher-Cowardly thing is the biggest post-911 idiocy litmus test and lots of people failed it.

Maher's statement was intentionally not delicate or egg shell-walking. It's a deliberate test to determine if a person's critical thinking skills are still in the driver's seat (if they ever were) in the face of emotional pressures. It's like the statement, "the Nazis were sure snazzy dressers." There are basically two types of people, those that can separate the fact that Nazis were rather fashionable and that they committed atrocities as two independent ideas, and those that can't. The latter group are not critical thinkers, they are simple thinkers. If a group is bad, everything about them is bad. If a group is good everything about them is good. If a geological science authority says something about geology then it must be true because of his authority. Lots of logical fallacies flourish in the company of simple thinkers.

The introspective accept or at least entertain the notion that some cultural or moral relativism was in play and however misguided the psychological mechanisms inherent in our enemies are the same as those present in us. There isn't some magical "evilonium" element coursing through their veins nor is our position spotlessly noble.

By reacting in a "pitchforks and torches" manner to the statement you are basically raising a huge flag over your head indicating you aren't thinking.
