"The fact that he said we were beautiful and gorgeous, I don't think any woman wouldn't be flattered by that. I appreciate it, but at the same time I don't think I needed an apology."

The apology wasn't just for you. It was to the viewers. They should not have spent so much time on her and lavished that kind of attention on her. It's just not appropriate.

I know the game was a blowout and they're supposed to run with these extra stories to keep people interested and watching, but come on.

Webb and McCarron met on Twitter and have been dating for about a month. Her Twitter following quickly jumped to over 220,000 during the broadcast.

It appears my list of reasons to hate Twitter will need to be continued on the next page.

Face it, Fishy, the camera cuts to her and the center shoving A.J. were the only watchable moments of that broadcast.

"I think the media has been really unfair to him." Webb said on the "Today" show. "I think if he had said something along the line if we were hot or sexy, I think that would be little bit different.

Was originally:

"I think the media has been really unfair to him." Webb said on the "Today" show. "I think if he had said something along the line if we were hot or sexy, I think that wood be little bit different.

Hence the headline

Even with clarification, the headline makes no sense.

"I think the media has been really unfair to him." Webb said on the "Today" show. "I think if he had said something along the line if we were hot or sexy, I think that Brent Musburger has serious wood." -- this typo would make sense with that headline

Well judging by all the articles and press that the incident has gotten over the past few days one can easily say that this was the most interesting thing that happened during the game.

I think AJ's mom is a little pissed that none of that attention was thrown her way during the game.

i kinda get the feeling she's gonna be trying to talk about this as much as possible for the next few weeks. it's her chance to attention whore herself out and eventually make it onto dancing with the stars or something

I just found out they made Mussy apologize? Wtf? Sheesh, so he gushed over a woman who is widely accepted to be beautiful. He made no comments of a remotely sexual nature, how in the world is this an issue? America needs to lighten up, Francis.

When an ultra-hot woman seems innocent or ignorant in order to fish for compliments is she secretly very crafty or is she truly innocent and/or ignorant?

Did you watch the game?  By the time they cut to her in the first quarter, Alabama already had a 14-0 lead in what was clearly turning into a rout.  ESPN was desperately trying to maintain their viewership.

The name Katherine Webb went from "Who?" status to "Oh yeah, the Miss Alabama chock dating the Alabama QB". I'm sure she's fine with it because it will further her career, modeling, acting opportunities, etc.
/Let me know when she does facial porn

She a model and beauty pageant contestant. She objectifies herself for a living. Why would they think this would bother her?

I don't think the apology is was for her as much for the viewers who had to listen to Musburger turn into their drunk uncle for a few minutes. Seriously if they had cut back to the booth and there was lotion and tissues in the window I would not have been surprised.

You could tell that even Herbstriet who kind of joined in at first was a little weirded out at the end.

Honestly, show her, do the old "A.J. is dating Miss Alabama USA, she's a good looking girl, good for him" thing for the human interest piece which they do in those types of games because women are watching that don't normally watch sports. But sounding like your about to whip it out and spank off in the booth was a bit much.

i didn't watch this part of the game, but I've watched re-plays of the comments, and I really didn't notice anything out of line. basically, wow, what a pretty lady, really beautiful... and that was pretty much it. perhaps i didn't see the whole thing, but i was exceptionally underwhelmed. plus, she's a pageant person. they're in the public eye, they can take a comment that they're pretty.
