Cerebral Knievel: I think that wallpaper is what's making it look so bad. other than that, it looks just like Ubuntu with some differnt Icons.
Vaneshi: Cerebral Knievel: I think that wallpaper is what's making it look so bad. other than that, it looks just like Ubuntu with some differnt Icons. The wallpaper is the cherry on top. The colour scheme is hideous, the faux 'OS X' dock style launcher at the bottom just looks tacked on and the font (which I assume is the default) is some crappy techno thing that looks exceptionally naff.Metacity (GNOME 2's UI) looks much better than this, is much more usable than this and frankly as I deeply suspect this is in fact GNOME 2 (and thus Metacity) someone had to go out of their way to break it that badly.Even Canonical's Unity doesn't look that shiat and it's an unmitigated bag of hammers.
Vaneshi: mccallcl:An Amiga emulator? Probably not, since Amiga is built for PPC processors. You can buy a new board that will run actual AmigaOS for like $600.Not so much, the miggy most people remember fondly was a m68k based machine. And erm... well if you can get the Pi to run Android then yes, you can emulate an Amiga on it.https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.ab.uae&hl=enBecause there's an ARM based Amiga emulator.
Amberwind: I've got a Commodore Vic-20 at my house that the husby and I picked up at a thrift store along with the tape deck and a still shrink-wrapped copy of Ms. Packman. I'm trying to find other games for it right now, since I refuse to bust shrink wrap on something that's managed to stay mint that long.
I Like Bread: Can I run OS4 on my Mac Mini yet?
pentomino: A Raspberry Pi could easily emulate a Commodore 64 at full speed; the first Pentium machines were already doing it in the 1990s.
ShawnDoc: The failed Kickstarter for a revamped Wings inspired me to dig up an Amiga emulator and play Wings on that. Not quite as good as I remember, but still hella fun.Wings
Kristoph57: They just want you to buy overpriced computers that have a familiar name on them.
Anastacya: Nothing quite like whacking the top of the disk drive to get it to read. Or removing the top of the case entirely. Fast Hackem' was great.Load"*",8,1Wheee....

zerkalo: I was that guy. But I wouldn't buy this to recreate the experience. Off to search for emulators again/Earl Weaver Baseball and Cinemaware FTWs
