It had a production budget of $160 million and took in just under $50m.  So no, nobody saw it.  I only know what happened from this podcast

Yeah, why did this take so long? There were plenty of threads to green.  It will be really annoying if they also send out a "NEWS FLASH" email 7 hours late.

Just watched Speed (1) for the first time in years with the gf over the weekend. It held up surprisingly well, some cheesy bits but if they had cast Bruce Willis it was essential a smaller-scale Die Hard.

Combined with watching Excellent Adventure last week, we're planning to watch Point Break this weekend to complete the Keanu trifecta.

I've been on that Ferry.
The catamaran was a very comfortable ride. They always thump the dock pretty hard though.
I have no idea if that's normal.

I have a couple of concerns...

First, judging by this thread, people expect up to the minute news from Fark. That is sad.

Second, how fast do these ferries go? (I honestly don't know.) I can imagine the occasional "bump the dock, guy falls down wrong, bumps his head, concussion", but 30-50 people injured?!!? And if it really was that bad, how is this such a short story?

What's that, Gerry and the Pacemakers? Eh, not really obscure, but getting there.
