Looks like a decapitated oarfish, turns gelatinous when cooked like a decapitated oarfish, must be a decapitated oarfish.

Ok wait for a bit, you find a fish floating dead for god knows how long and the first thing you think is jackpot we get free food? It could have been there for days. Darwin missed out on this one.
