It makes sense. They can sell billions of wings in China, they love chicken and aren't so into beef.

I look forward to the KFC Burger.

Ranch sauce with chicken wings?

What's next, mayonnaise with french fries?

2013-01-09 08:10:45 AM
What's so shocking about this? Wings are about the easiest thing in the world to make. Fry then season, it's not like they are frying breast and thighs.

That will never fly.

It's a common thing around here to dip spicy wings into ranch sauce. I don't get it either.

Sounds like a Cheap Trick.

They were testing spaghetti at one point. They try all sorts of things.

I remember a steak sandwich from years ago that was awesome. It must have been too expensive or something because they never brought it back.

We just got back from Italy on Sunday. In their McDonald's they had wings, shrimp, flan, a prosciutto sandwich etc. Surprisingly the wings and flan were very good.

I wanna open a McDonalds that doesn't participate in anything. Hamburgers? Nope, we got spaghetti!

This is the second time they've brought out Mighty Wings.   They tried in the 90s (same name) and I had them several times in Chicago.  It must have been a test market.

Anyway, they were extremely substandard.  How hard is it to fry chicken and put hot sauce on it?  They were always mushy and the sauce was completely meh.  I imagine it had something to do with the optimal oil temperature not being a temp compatible with the needs of cooking McNuggets and McChicken in the same fryer so they couldn't really crisp up the wing.  The wings were freaking tiny too.  Like drumette size.

I just realized that you only need to put BBQ sauce on the new CBO and you've pretty much got a McJordan.

Try this in Buffalo NY and you will be beaten to death. Wings with out blue cheese sauce is a mortal sin.

FTA: The wings are being sold in servings of three, five or 10 pieces with prices starting at $3, according to Lynne Collier, an analyst with Sterne Agee.

A dollar per wing.
Fark that, even if they are cocaine-dipped.

No thank you. I ll go to the good wing places by me to get fat. I suspect these will be as bad as dominos. They look like they were taken from pidgeons with no meat on he bone wrapped in skin.

Unless you're at a bar on quarter wing night, that's about what you pay for delivery. At least in DC, after sales tax.

// about $.75 per wing without tax/tip
// also, McD's has been messing us for a while
// or "making us mess ourselves" I guess

Suggestions for some flavors- mild, hot, barbecue, teriyaki, and super hot (just to have a challenge).

Long John Silvers makes a good piece of chicken. Whatever they have in that batter it sure makes it tastey. I know it's heavily loaded with salt.

We've had wings at McDonald's in Toledo and Detroit for about five years. Granted they're only available at the McDonald's in black neighborhoods but I don't mind- they're actually pretty damn decent wings.

If they can make sure there are no heads in the wings, they will be fine.

I saw the "Mighty Wings Are Here" on a sign this morning on my way to work. Now I have to try them because it's new and I can't resist.
I didn't realize it was test market. I hope they're better than the popcorn chicken, which has too much onion flavor in them for my taste.

/hates onions

Are McDonald's customers capable of handling bones in their food without incurring severe injury (followed up immediately by huge lawsuit, of course)?

Have you never had boneless wings before? They are great, don't have to worry about getting messy, don't have to worry about trash. Try eating wings with bones in your car and see how that goes for you.

Why none of the fast food restaurants have not come out with a spaghetti or lasagna sandwich is beyond me. Just include a bib, like the rib places do.
