In fact, it's a little bit too much in you.

I used to drink lots of gatorade...

This just in: Gatorade is a replacement for nothing and is not actually good for you.

On the plus side, since it's a flame retardant your insides won't catch fire.

You'll have to pry my Gatorade from my cold, dead hands.

Sure, it's not good for you, but it's better than soda.

All things in moderation. I don't think anyone can argue that a little bit of not catching fire is a bad thing.

Gaaaaaaatoorrrraaaaaaaade.....

I asked my chem teacher about BVO in the mid 90s. His answer? "Halogenated hydrocarbons... no, no I don't think I'd drink that."

I'm rushing to believe an article based off of the findings of a 15 year old self-proclaimed vegan on the Mother Nature Network.

LITERALLY RUSHING TO BELIEVE.

What with the ever-present danger of spontaneous combustion, it behooves us to take precautionary anti-fire measures.

A Shambling Mound: This just in: Gatorade is a replacement for nothing and is not actually good for you.

Meh, I've read somewhere that the HFCS is actually more efficient for replenishing glycogen quickly (or something) than sucrose or straight glucose, and electrolyte replacement is important if you're doing strenuous exercise for a fairly long period of time (and hence sweating a LOT). However, 99% of the people swilling gatorade while they treadmill or bro-pump at the gym, or drinking it because they like the taste and aren't actually doing ANY exercise, are just loading up with a butt-ton of extra sugar and salt they absolutely don't need.

Yeah, sorry, if you're on a diet that requires supplementation just to stay some level of healthy, you may be doing it wrong.

Next up: vegans forcing lions to only eat arugula and tofu because the poor antelope might suffer from being killed and eaten.

I wonder if she realizes that water is also a flame retardant chemical. Or that eating a vegan diet while still developing can be very dangerous if not planned and executed extremely well, which she and her silly parents are probably not doing.

I switched to Gatorade after quitting drinking all soda/caffeine, turned out something about the soda or caffeine was really screwing with my health.

I drink tons of orange gatorade and never noticed anything bad from it though I recently switched to the powder one cause it's cheaper.. lucky for me, no BVO in that one to make me retarded or whatever it does.

I feel bad for kids whose parents don't make them drink it. It's like they don't even care about whether or not they'll catch on fire.

Cut the Ad hominem attacks, fellows. Yeah she's a vegan, yeah she's a teenager. She's probably self important and annoying...

But that doesn't make what she's saying wrong.

Here in the western world, it is really easy to get all the nutrition you need on a vegan diet. And she's probably got the best cardiovascular health in all of Mississippi.

I know, that one is used as a chemical extinguishing agent in large buildings all over the world. It's obscene that someone would think it's appropriate to put it in a beverage!

"Sarah Kavanagh isn't your ordinary 15-year-old. Sure, the Hattiesburg High School sophomore rides the bus to school..."

Either the writer is being cute, or has no idea whatsoever of how teens are today.  No self-respecting modern sophisticated 15-year-old will ride a bus.  She would ride to school in her 22-year-old boyfriend's Mustang.

I once went through a phase where I pretty much lived on rice and Cap'n Crunch. I would joke that I had become a vegetarian by default, and it is hilarious how many people equate that with being really healthy. There are a lot of assumptions that "not eating meat" equals "fresh vegetables and lots of tofu".

My cousin is super fat (like 5'5 and 250 pounds fat) and she's been a vegan since she was a teenager in the late 80's / early 90's. She was into any popular counter-culture shiat she could shovel down her throat, you know, like, MTV level counter culture shiat. She probably owned a Che Guevara t-shirt before anyone else did, in XXXL.

Nothing stopping you from belting down the sugary junkfoods as a vegan, and junk carbs like pasta and bread.

Pfft. These farkin amateurs. I scrape all the black crud off the inside of my BBQ pit, add water, shake, make Manorade.

Wait! That sounds disturbing. How about Firemeatwater? All Natural!

/is there something in my teeth?
