Well, I'm quite stoned, and I found this slightly amusing for 20 seconds. Let's hear from some straight people.

2001-11-24 03:20:51 PM
One word sprang to mind, and it wasn't "funny".

2001-11-24 03:40:12 PM
Aw, come on folks. Are you really that jaded and humorless, or has the porn affected your brain. This is funny! Some of the best I have seen for a long time. And the creativity of the piece is really exceptional.

SOME GUY: You are a hero for posting this one.

2001-11-24 03:48:15 PM
THe amish have some sad ass porn borg

2001-11-24 04:39:04 PM
...yeah, Rice, I should have checked the link out better before posting it. It at least is on the same level of humor as the original article, which is, not much.

2001-11-24 04:39:52 PM
This really isn't "funny" in any way shape or form. I would be more entertained watching grass grow... However, what was funny was the ghetto scooter... that still cracks me up even now

That looks suspiciously like an old Oriental calligraphy kit. Here's a Chinese laptop:

Yeah, so what? Some guy found a picture, realized it kinda-sorta looked like a steampunk laptop computer, and composed an amusing article around it.

Sheesh... people around here gots no appreciation for subtlety. Go watch an Adam Sandler flick.

Gladiatorlatino: Have you seen theS.C.U.T.R. ?

2001-11-24 07:13:13 PM
Zylon, this wasn't particularly subtle. I'm wondering if perhaps you have a different understanding of the meaning of the word subtle. This was as subtle as a dutch oven.

2001-11-24 07:16:00 PM
No. Here's The original laptop.

2001-11-24 07:29:23 PM
You know i posted this article, and i personally don't find it that funny. But i was posting like 5 articles and whoever the admin was decided to choose this one. (i thought the other article were funnier)

Bigpeeler: They outlawed those here in Tampa (of all places). Something about a "six-foot rule" or something.

Thankfully it's not enforced, though.

I've got mine online using a Sprint G3 connection.

If the Taleban had behaved more like the Amish, there could have been peace in the Middle East.

You got to respect the Amish.

This stupidity is about as funny as jock itch! I'm a Pennsylvanian by birth...and I lived in Lancaster, PA, for nearly a year. The Amish *are* different...but they are some of the nicest people I've ever met. They can cook up a storm, too! Enjoy a dinner in Lancaster (with dessert!)...and everything else will taste like Burger King crapola.

Please don't insult them with sophomoric attempts at humor!

Tease the Taliban or the Arabs...but leave the Amish alone. They're just good folks.

That goes for the Shakers, too! Shame on you, Drew! As a Bluegrass State guy, you oughta know!

Only complaint I have about the Amish here (and it's a really minor one) is having to pass their buggies. But it's no biggie because a) they actually try to move over if they can and b) they're really easy to pass 'cause they go so slow. They keep to themselves and don't hurt anyone.

Also, I had Amish/Mennonite ancestors. :)
