Nothing to say other than, if you haven't played Sleeping Dogs yet, you are missing out. Go, buy, play. It does not need googly eyes.

Sleeping Dogs is, indeed, awesome, but everything needs googly eyes

Backlog.  Bought it a while back, but haven't gotten to it.  Stupid Steam sales and lack of free time...

With an account created in 2002, one would think you would have figured this out by now.

I still liked the mod in Marathon where the big hulk looking guys all got Afros.

That comment was the only thing interesting in the article.

I admit I'm a TF2 junkie. The cartoony aspect of it makes it a ton of fun.

I played the demo and it just didn't do anything for me. Combat felt clunky and aiming was a biatch. Might give it another go if it goes on sale during the Summer Steam Sale.

It did take a little getting used to with the guns but it is worth it. I highly recommend giving it another go. The playstyle really grew on me, especially once I got the hang of drifting in my vehicles. The story, however, is probably the best in any game I've played in a long, long time.

Steam has spoiled me. It's very seldom I'll spend more than $10 on a game these days. There are so many good older ones to pick up that I just never had time to play and now I can get on a Steam sale for $5.

i don't intentionally do that, but because of limited playing time it takes me so long to finish games that by the time i get around to a game i wanted to play it's already on sale or deeply discounted

That too. I have a library of like 80 games or something on Steam, and I've finished maybe between 5 and 10 of them. Some I know I'll never finish since I may have gotten them in a bundle of some sort and was actually interested in the other games in that bundle and had no intention of ever playing them. Even taking those into account though, I've still got a shiatload of games to go through. I could probably not buy another game for the next 2 or 3 years and be kept occupied. Though... that won't happen because when those steam sales DO come on, I can't stop myself from looking and inevitably, the credit card comes out.

I've pretty much had to make this rule for myself. If I'm not going to get to the game before the next sale, I won't buy it. Spent way too much money otherwise. Also ran into too many instances where I bought a game on sale, didn't get around to playing it and when the next sale hit, it was cheaper.

There are no games with a better story than the Walking Dead. First form of media (movie, song, game, etc) that actually made me tear up.

I missed out on it, but Sleeping Dogs was $4.91 at one point during the winter steam sale.

I haven't gotten to that yet. Have the episodes all ready to go though. Is it a long game? It seemed to me like something I'd like to play in a marathon sitting. Get booze, close all the curtains, turn off the phone, etc.

My only real complaint (if it can really be called one) with Sleeping Dogs was that I was so hooked by the main Triad storyline that I didn't want to do a lot of the side missions. I'm going to do a replay and spend more time running the streets. Currently playing AC3. Was never in to the AC line but as an amateur Revolutionary War historian I couldn't pass it up. It is ok but I'm mainly doing it just to see the locations.

Need a Dispenser Here: There are no games with a better story than the Walking Dead.

There are certainly games with better character development, better plots, and that don't have antagonists that feel shoehorned into the final act (in an unrealistic way). Lee and Clementine are strong characters with great voice actors, but the story isn't close to being the best. Sleeping Dogs for example does a better job with developing multiple characters, their backgrounds and motivations, a stronger antagonist, a better plot arc and explains the conflict of the main character well. Sure, it pretty much takes cues from a bunch of Hong Kong movies, but it pays homage to them well.

Skip the booze and get Xanax if you plan on doing a marathon run. It's a game that's good to take a break from while playing.

I do the same thing. That and indie bundles.

I just don't have time. I like games with deep stories but I get interrupted so often I can't really enjoy them.

Walking Dead is kind of a lot like a... "Choose Your Own Adventure", but more of a movie format. There's no difficulty, only choice. So I don't think of it as a 'long game', but at the same time, I don't think I'd want to sit down through it all at once, anymore than I'd want to sit down and watch Godfather Part 1 - 3 and Star Wars 4 - 6 back to back on the same day.
