Bang my hot wife or die in a ball with another man? Tough one.

How is Zorbing a sport? Is there any way of keeping score or tracking performance against yourself or others? Still sucks the guy died doing it.

So, you flip end over end for a while and maybe throw up.  I don't get it.

2013-01-09 10:12:02 AM
Oh Navi.  I don't care about that right now.

2013-01-09 10:19:54 AM
maybe they should have tried a dry run first... like, pushing the ball without people inside just to see if it will or will not fly off a cliff.

Jesus tapdancing christ, this is a THING!??

Except for the whole plunging off a cliff part it looks pretty fun.

2013-01-09 10:36:29 AM
In the summer they put some water in the ball so you just slide along the bottom and wont get dizzy. But owwch on that

2013-01-09 10:39:05 AM
some people like bungee jumping, some like cliff diving, or going over niagara falls in a barrel, zorbing looks safer than those.. other than the farking cliff!!

Are Russian lawyers now rubbing their hands together for the lawsuit?

2013-01-09 10:41:40 AM
no meanwhile in russia?

that sucks. you can see the desperate attempt of the person at the bottom trying to stop the ball. trying many times but failed. sucks to watch

It'll be a lot of fun rolling down to the bottom of this hill, as long as we don't roll of the cliff that is at said bottom of said hill, because we will die. Welp, see you at the bottom of this hill, right, unless we go OFF THE GODDAMNED CLIFF THAT IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL.

That was a cartoonish level of stupidity. The only way this could have been any more idiotic is if they had sent rescuers after them in their own inflatable balls.

It's a "sport" the same way base jumping or sky diving are sports.  If you live, you win.

//Saw this article too and thought, "Darwin wins this round."

Jackie Chan has been there, done that.

don't know if you read the article or not, but:

As he got into the giant ball, an unnamed friend - who filmed the horror - is heard saying: 'Denis, you'll be like Jackie Chan in the Armour of God movie!'

Also, this seems like a good idea to do at the bottom of the mountain.  But a horrible idea to do at the top of the mountain right near a freakin huge cliff.

Yeah, that's the craziest part. Seems like harmless stupid fun and something I'd like to try but why in god's name wouldn't you do that somewhere close to the bottom? Your first thought when you pick a spot to do that should be "how are we going to stop when we reach the bottom?" and if the answer is "not sure" or "I guess we won't," well then that's a pretty good indicator that you need to pick a different spot. I know, mind blowing stuff.

With the Russians in charge, looks like the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi will be a real hoot to watch. Maybe we can send one of our 'Jackass' alums to compete in the Full Alpine Zorbing event.

Sad/Fail tag does not exist. It looks like a great time, however they should of had a snowmobile to direct it.

I like where one of the people running the event is caught saying "Oh f--k, it's gone in the wrong direction AGAIN."

So apparently this wasn't the first time it went off the track. Being that close to a freaking cliff, these guys should see prison time for being so stupid and careless and not taking proper safeguards, especially if it went off the path before.

That's not how Russians roll.

/they probably only rescued them because the ball is expensive.

sad, the thing was almost stopped, but gravity wins again, bounced over that three foot snow wall at the bottom and picked up speed.

You don't run into many ski lift guys? The ones I've encountered are carnies too dumb to come in from the cold

Nah. Gravity always seems to lose to Escape Velocity. It's almost like Ve knows what Gravity will do ahead of time....

They've got one of these somewhere on the Washington peninsula. I wasn't there buy my wife and mother-in-law did it and had a great time.

It is no more a sport than going down a water slide is a sport.

The only one I feel sorry for here (outside of the family) is the guy at the bottom of the hill. He was doing everything he could to stop it from going down the cliff. "A" for effort there...

What level of hell am I going to for thinking this video looks really rife to be sped up about 50 percent and set to Yakety Sax?

/For the record, I've asked them to do something similar with my casket at my funeral

One man and an 8 foot ball, filled with two full grown adults and driven by gravity. Good thinking there.
