At least it's an improvement over 4 dozen RG3 threads.

I am curious who wants the Eagles job. I know a lot of people want to coach in the NFL. And the Eagles aren't exactly the Cardinals or Jaguars in terms of players currently on the roster.

Should go full derp, sign Tebow, whack Mularkey, Park the Brinks truck outside Chip Kelly's house and go for it.

Let someone else come in, slowly purge the roster of all the baggage over a two or three seasons, live in the cellar of the NFC east for a few years, get fired, then take the job.

That's an awful lot of threads about NFL teams no longer playing. Aren't pitchers and catchers reporting soon? No pre-pre-pre-season Top 25 lists to debate?

he did steal our Super Bowl destiny in 2003.

The author of this article makes valid points, as a rational Philly fan, I can't disagree with him at all. The fans in that city are driven by rabid newspaper and sports talk radio coverage.

With DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and LeSean McCoy, 75% of passes should be dump offs in space to one of these 3. The other 25% to Maclin and Jackson stretching the field deep. Cut Celek

If we're going to just give up on the passing game, why not the double wing? We just need a fullback that can make a dump-off pass.

Leave the Browns out of it. They have their own problems, most of which used to be Philly's. And the courageous QB you speak of is in KC now.

I wasn't interested. He's an offensive minded coach. We need someone who can fix our defense.

Okay...head coach crowdsourcing. Draft a handful of rookie QBs and put them all in at the same time! 5 O linemen and the rest are QBs! The defense won't know who to rush! Oh, trade Tebow to Jacksonville for a gatorade cooler and a used jock strap to be named later. (See as how you guys Traded for Tebow upthread)

If you want to avoid the Philly wage tax you'll be paying the Philly commuter tax.

I do enjoy the Philly hate in all these threads, though. The Eagles are a premier franchise in the NFL and this is an incredible opportunity for whoever gets it. I do wish Cower wasn't so comfy in the broadcast booth.

Oh, wait, you're serious. Let me laugh even harder.

The Eagles, thanks to Reid's mismanagement of the team, will be out of contention for quite some time. Knowing that the team will not win more than 5-6 games for the next few years, few current or prospective NFL coaches would risk their reputations to take that gig. The Eagles need a sacrificial lamb coach who (if everything goes well) will build the foundations of a successful team while losing many games and ultimately get fired in favor the coach who has the shot at a championship team.

They need their 2013 version of Ray Rhodes, who built the team that Andy Reid ultimately couldn't get over the hump before he thoroughly trashed it.
