Damn Republicans.  How dare they be concerned about the circumstances that led to the murder or a U.S. Ambassador and 3 others.

they'll probably go back to the tried and true (to them) "Obama's not an American."  By now, it's probably like tossing a hot dog dog a hallway though.

FTFA: "The window for justice is quickly closing as far as I see," Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, told FoxNews.com Tuesday.

Remind me again how long it took to get OBL? Did Ted have the same sense of frustration when W claimed OBL was not a focus?

Oh, they're interested in that?  So far it appears all they're concerned about is who said what on TV and looking for ways to embarrass the President.

Honestly, Fark, can you just create a new thread titled "BENGHAZI" every day and sticky it to the top of the politics tab? Christ.

What would we do without you, Congressman Millhouse?

Along that same line of thought, they could just create a thread called "WHARRGARBL", and it could be the only thing on the politics tab.

It is beyond people like you to understand when the American people need to be lied to, for their own good.

Leave governing to your betters.

I'm annoyed by the GOP demand that a scandal be manufactured, but I'm disgustedby the insistence of innumerable leftleaning commentators that all questions about the incident and culpability are the product of talk radio shiat-stirring.

Bullshiat. They are playing political wordgames about a speech made hours after a major chaotic event to give a brief explination to the. Public. This is like someone being outraged by the fire chief getting the type of plane wrong at a crash site before the fire is out.

Alright, I'll give YOU a try...your fellow Republicans have bobbed and weaved like Ali whenever I try and ask wtf they think Obama is "covering up" regarding Bengazi.

All I've seen so far is funding cuts leading to lesser security leading to deaths. Tragic, but since the cuts were partly Republican, it LOOKS like they're just trying to cover their own asses.

Care to enlighten us on some nobler purpose they might have?

They are DESPERATE for anything to tarnish Obama's foreign policy cred. Him killing OBL was almost like cutting off the GOP's balls, they are aching to show that he's not the men they are.

2013-01-08 03:33:33 PM
There needs to be a scandal because saying "embassy security was cut back to save money" isn't something the GOP wants to admit. Therefore, something MUST have happened and the administration MUST be doing something to have caused this because the idea that the GOP led a charge to cut spending leading to this situation is just not going to be discussed.

It was my understanding that the embassy peeps specifically requested more security because things were farked, and they were specifically denied that security, and then they all got killed. The denials of such from the administration are what the scandal is about. The executive branch didn't want to own their failure right before an election, or, apparently, even after one.

Is this not correct?

That is a very good point... So what ever happened about the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? I'm just asking questions.

They impeached Clinton for his affair and lying many months after the fact, didn't they? Investigations take a while, but it isn't like sworn affidavits, electronic and physical evidence spoil in a week or two like a basket of peaches.

It is apparent to me, aside from the political smokescreen put out by Susan Rice (which irks conservatives because they want to be able to deliberately incite riots in the middle east for sh*ts and grins and she was pissing on that practice) that the response to the assault was as fast as possible and a criminal investigation started immediately.

So what are people looking for? All the conspiracy theories, like that General that was "ordered to stand down" seem to have evaporated. We didn't have enough security at the consulate and didn't pay strict enough attention to our intel about militant groups in the area, but ultimately this was a smaller crime than ones that happen every week (it seems) in the US. Enough to bring down a president? I'm not seeing it.
