I only made it to about the 1:30 mark before I had to turn it off.
Thanks subby, I needed a little brain damage before bed.

That's not experimental. That's just wankery.

You are far stronger than I. Although I can see some wonderful possibilities for mayhem with this recording, and that alone is enough to consider spending the dollar it would take to acquire it.

I certainly like it far better than the actual song.  In fact, I didn't mind it at all.  Wouldn't tune in again, though.

I listened all the way through and while it certainly wasn't.. um, musical, it was at times quite interesting.

Hm.  I thought (and hoped) it would degenerate into pure feedback way before it did.

The waiting room to hell sounds like a bakery cashier that is always reading a "to be served number" higher than mine for enternity.

I'm pretty positive that the Waiting Room to Hell plays "Piano Man" on a loop.

I think that's about where I cut out. As a hobbyist recording engineer, I was interested to see how the sound stacked up both constructively and destructively. But it was getting loud and I don't really like that girl's voice to begin with.

Nononono.... "I Will Always Love you". They played that piece of shiat 500 times a day for weeks after Houston died. If I hear that song, I may just purposely stab myself in the ear with a meat thermometer.

If it sounded anything like the "barney mod"* for Doom 2 (I think), then I'm glad I didn't listen to it.

* The Barney mod replaced the higher level demons (the big ones with the shoulder rocket launchers) and would sing the "I love you" song. If there was more than one, then the songs would "stack". They were not timed against each other. On several levels there were multiple barneys. I took the mod off after about a day...

2013-01-08 03:40:19 PM
Meh, derivative... towards the end it's almost indistinguishable from Lou Reed's "Metal Machine Music."

2013-01-08 03:40:23 PM
Step 1: Gain access to the network room of a big box store as that is usualy where the background music player is stored.
Step 2: Disconnect the player, and wire this song into the amp using a cheap MP3 player.
Step 3: Lock the network room door, and fill lock with superglue.
Step 4: Profit from human misery.

Now you all know what the music in my head sounds like. I have constant music playing in my head, usually some random song I heard in a store or restaurant. I try not to listen to the radio because lyrics are always getting stuck in my head on a constant loop that gets more and more complicated, much like the sound in that link. I only listen to instrumental music because of this problem. I still have constant melodies playing in my head, but it's better if they don't have words.

On another note, I was at Downtown Disney recently, and a street musician with a big crowd was playing this song on a saxophone (he had a backing track provided by an ipad). Anyway, everybody in the crowd of at least 100 people immediately started singing and dancing along with the song. They knew all the words to this song, and several other absolutely annoying pop songs the guy played next. I've always wondered who the arseholes are who listen to this kind of crap music and now I know.

The definitive Waiting Room sound. Complete with orginal stage slideshow goodness. And get off my lawn.

I actually enjoy that song (the original... and the one with the dogs) for the fun, braindead pop romp that it is.

Creating this brain scrambling monstrosity was just an attempt at trolling.

/I want to make it my ringtone
//I'd certainly answer the phone quicker since I only made it 20 seconds

They played this crap on a non stop loop at the Austin Comicon. I was ready to poke my eardrums out by the second time they played & I like a lot of crap music. :/
