Put cops on the buses and shoot the corksuckers that are throwing rocks at the buses. In any other instance, throwing rocks at cops (and others) is considered deadly force. Plus, the rock throwers really need to be removed from using the same oxygen as the rest of us.

"Wait a minute, you mean to say that throwing rocks at buses is dangerous *and* against the law? Well, that gives me a whole new perspective."

Holy crap, Subby; you weren't farking kidding!!!

I don't think anyone has actually told the kids that it was wrong. Raised by a single parent because the other is running from child support or in jail, the single mom is too busy working several jobs to teach them right from wrong. How would they know not to do it unless someone tells them.

Luckily, we banned large capacity rock-throwers under the Brady Bill, otherwise there'd be many more casualties.

Ok so maybe this is an obvious question, why are these rocks being thrown?

FOLLOW-UP: After a week of DC buses being pelted with wadded-up "don't throw rocks" flyers, DC and Metro police publish flyers reminding people that it's against the law to pelt buses with wadded-up flyers.

Because kids are a bunch of irresponsible pricks and in this case there are no adults telling them to stop that shiat since said adults are also irresponsible pricks whose children are the ones throwing rocks?

If throwing rocks as busses is wrong, I don't want to be right.

CSB.
I was probably about 11. My brother and his friend was about 8. We like gentley tossing rockish objects at cars back then. One day my brother flings Dive-Dive (The submarine Gobot) at a car. Turns out it was an undercover detective. Lights go on, car slams to a halt. We are so screwed. My brother and his friend take off running. But suddenly, my cunning 11 year old mine forms a plan. I stay put. The cops gets out and starts yelling at me for throwing things at cars.
Me: I had nothing to do with that.
Cop: Yes you did! You and those two other kids were throwing things at my car!
Me: I have no idea who those kids are.
Cop: Bullshiat! You where standing there with them.
Me: I was waiting to cross the street, when they walked up. One of them said "hey watch this" and threw that thing at your car. Don't you think I I was with them, I would have have run off too instead of waiting her for you to get me?
Cop: ...oh...well I guess that makes sense. And you say you don't know who they are?
Me: Nope. Never saw them before.
Cop: Okay. Just don't let me catch you throwing things.
Me: No problem. Have a good day.

And then he left. See I knew If we all ran, he would have caught us, and that would mean ass-beatings. By staying there, I got myself out of trouble, and gave them time to get away.

Now you might think I got away without learning a lesson. Well I did. That time. When I was 16 I hit a car with a handful of gravel, and the guy in the car did not care for it. So much so that he pulled a gun on us and started blasting at us as we where hauling ass through the woods. That was the last time I ever threw rocks at cars.

Yeah, I have a problem with people who want to see others starve to death and call it a WIN.

Somebody should tell all my single parent friends and their children that throwing rocks is dangerous and against the law! Because they clearly don't have the time to teach their kids right from wrong. GMAFB.

I think it's a fair assessment that even the person who posted the original comment probably doesn't think anyone would actually starve. More likely, he (she?) thinks that the people so affected, having finally been allowed to hit rock bottom, will find in this the pressure they need to get their act together.
