Incorrect.

Crewmannumber6: I've been an advocate for him since Brick, but he seems to be reaching the saturation point lately.

He's being given the roles that would have otherwise gone to Shia LaBeouf. For that alone, he gets a lifetime free pass from me.

I would rather he star in Sim City 2, which would be a much better movie.

Tyrone Slothrop: mechgreg: Ugh Sin City 2? Sin City 1 was pretty terrible. Plus if one of your main characters is going to be a stripper, she shouldn't be wearing more clothes than any other character in the movie.

Robert Rodriguez appears to be under the impression that strippers don't take off their clothes.

That was all Jessica Alba, who refuses to do nude scenes. That said, the character is a stripper. Don't like the role? Don't take the role.

Erix: How are Micky Rourke and Bruce Willis going to reprise their roles when their characters died in the first one?

The Sin City comic doesn't have a serial progression, it jumps backwards and forwards as the narrative requires and the graphic novels are all stand-alones, but with recurring characters and cameos from a different character's POV. I imagine we'll see a reprise of the dance scene or a bar scene in which all the previous characters are present, but then follow the POV of a new character onwards, just like in the comics.

You know who wore a mask in a movie and was goddamned awesome? Darth Vader. He even emoted through that motherfarker. I've watched every movie James earl Jones was in (Forget the irony I'm ignoring Prowse, though I've seen all his work too)

If major actors can be voice actors in cartoon movies, they can wear a goddamn mask when the script calls for it, and do it with a smile.

It really does annoy me that comic book movies use every trick possible to keep their characters in civilian clothes for as long as possible.

Cyno01: Unless they cast Hugo Weaving, actors arent usually willing to put up with that.

The late, great Andreas Katsulas wore Narn makeup for 5 years of Babylon 5, complete with red contact lenses.

Truth. Came here to say something to that effect, Star Lord is tough to cast but as long as it isn't TheBeef everything should work out. He'll be in a mask for most of the movie anyway.

I read it as Sim City first.  I was wondering how that would work as a movie plot.  But knowing Hollywood, they would find a way to ruin Sim City.

Make of a combination of Dark City and The Matrix/Tron: every time a guy wakes up the city he's living in has completely changed overnight, but he's the only one that realizes it. He eventually discovers that he's living in a computer game.

And at the end, the whole city is destroyed by simultaneous bombings, earthquakes, firestorms, floods, hurricanes, mass riots, monsters, nuclear meltdowns, plane crashes, rioting, tornadoes, and toxic spills.

Better than The Sims where the whole movie would be some guy trapped in a room with no doors sobbing in his own feces then miraculously dies when his 15 fire places set all his wooden chairs on fire.

Sin City was very disappointing, I've never seen so many strippers, whores, and sluts wear so many clothes in all my life. If you are going to have that many women employed in sex trades in your movie then by God I want to see some tits, coont, and ass.

She should have been fired on the spot.
