Ok he's a truther... I'm done.

2013-01-08 09:13:54 AM
I love rational debate on controversial issues. I love it when an intelligent opponent brings up nuanced arguments that challenge my point of view: causing me to re-evaluate my position; resulting in it's dismissal, modification or affirmation.

Made it to 1:26.

2013-01-08 09:18:35 AM
Sad part is, this is not the extended edition... it's truncated slightly. In the extended edition, this asshat challenges Morgan to a boxing match and says something along the lines of, "I'll be in the ring wearing my red, white, and blue, and you can wear your, uh, jolly roger or whatever." So this is the best that the gun nuts can offer, huh?

"You're a hatchet man!"

"I must be, I'm the only one who will have you on air."

Amazing. I got to :52, where after simply talking over Piers for some time he says that everyone who's ever spoken about guns wants to disarm all of America.

I went back. It was "AAAAAAAHHHH AAHHHHH AAAAAAHHHH AAAAAAAAHHHH FAST AND FURIOUS" and I stopped again.

Nutter

2013-01-08 09:43:58 AM
So that guy looked like a raving lunatic. Frothy mouthed rants don't help.

That being said, I don't have to justify any of my rights.

2013-01-08 09:48:31 AM
If Alex Jones wanted to "debate" in that way, Piers should have called in this guy from from Austin Public Access  (skip to about 30secs)

2013-01-08 09:51:40 AM
What the hell? He made Piers Morgan look like a rational almost likeable person, speaking of which, now that you've got him, please keep him.

2013-01-08 11:02:56 AM
I lasted until they started trying to talk over each other. I can't stand it when show hosts and guests do that.

2013-01-08 11:30:08 AM
I don't know who either of those people are but I wish they'd both get the hell off my planet.

2013-01-08 11:41:49 AM
Alex Jones is hilarious

This.
I watched the whole thing. Wow.
This is the exact person from which we need to keep guns away. He's clearly mentally ill and given his rather erratic yet vehement belief that anti-depressants are "suicide pills" the government is using to commit genocide, I'm guessing he's not taking his.
He's mentally ill, he's refusing treatment, he's imagining threats, and he's stockpiling weapons and ammo.

+1 Scary!

Someone should call the funny farm

Crap. Messed that up.

2013-01-08 12:13:08 PM
this guy is farking nuts.

2013-01-08 12:14:49 PM
this guy is a perfect example of how wingnuts simply shout over people rather than engage in debate.

2013-01-08 12:55:15 PM
Someone should start a white house petition to have this guys right to guns removed due to clear mental illness and his inability to have a rational discussion about the topic.

2013-01-08 01:08:50 PM
Wow...Scary to think that guy owns guns.

I'm pretty sure that if he'd had one on his person we'd have seen it at some point during the interview.

Also, I'm so tired of people talking about the Second Amendment like it is sacrosanct. It's a freaking AMENDMENT. That means it wasn't included in the original document and had to be added later.

2013-01-08 01:26:11 PM
He Godwinned that pretty fast

2013-01-08 01:39:45 PM
He clearly has Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) and is riled up. Lock him up!

Let's all dismiss the guy as crazy since he obviously went overboard with his usual ranting, and let's all associate gun owners with truthers and ...dangerous, dangerous folks who are not unlike potential terrorists.

Who's exagerating now?

2013-01-08 01:43:48 PM

stryed: and let's all associate gun owners with truthers and ...

he's the one who went on the show. they didn't drag him out of a crowd of crazies. he DOES represent gun owners, by his own claim.

I had no idea Alex Jones was this annoying.

I'm just pointing out that both the mainstream media and AJ have their agendas. CNN was not forced to interview AJ...
CNN wanted to for the reasons I stated above, and AJ wanted some mainstream time to shout out that 911 was an inside job, pharmaceuticals are a farcry from improving mental health, NWO etc....

If CNN really wanted a proper debate with someone with AJ's views, they would have invited Jesse Ventura to talk to Piers Morgan one more time, but that wouldnt bring people to hate each other and fear for their loved ones for whatever reasons they believe hold true, or laugh in apathy.

Piers and Ventura Link

I forgot, the GUN CONTROL question starts at 35:30

2013-01-08 03:39:14 PM

Slartibeerfest: Ok he's a truther... I'm done.

As soon as I saw it was Alex Jones, I didn't even bother watching it. And I'm pro-gun.

USA!

2013-01-08 05:25:11 PM
Alex Jones makes himself look like a giant asshole talking over Morgan and constantly jumping around specifics...jeez man be patient and calm and you can actually make people listen.

2013-01-08 05:48:45 PM
Whey they eventually do come for the guns, it will be because asshats like this convinced average folks that gun owners are crazy.

2013-01-08 06:51:59 PM

Slartibeerfest: Ok he's a truther... I'm done.

That's where I stopped watching.

Is it possible to have civil discourse anymore?

Of course, he's a dream guest for someone looking to paint all gun owners as fringe element. He had some good points at the beginning, but now they are invalidated because of his other crazy positions.

2013-01-08 07:32:18 PM
I can't wait for the conspiracy theorists to investigate what sort of medication Piers Morgan used to drug Alex Jones before the show to make him act all crazy.

Because you know that's coming.

2013-01-08 08:19:45 PM
I see that very few people here actually "get" Alex Jones.

You get Alex Jones much the same way you get a rash.

What's there to "get"? Infowars is basically the conspiracy theorist version of the Institute for Creation Research, which tries to discredit evolution. He cherry pick things or or takes legitimate concerns and then makes wild links and claims. He's an off the wall conspiracy theorist that my one paranoid conspiracy theorist friend is obsessed with. I'm almost surprised my friend hasn't turned on him for being so crazy that he must be a false flag of the government to discredit the real truth. My buddy gets so caught up in it that he's talked to me about the government violating our constitutional right to bear arms, at which point I remind him we're Canadian. But then again, maybe Reagan, Nixon, Eisenhower, Bush I & II really did annually (and anally) rape and murder young boys in Bohemian Grove.

Seems like Alex Jones is just one little court finding away from losing his precious firearms forever.

Gah. The cite should be:

Gun nuts. Is that one of those accusations you can't defend against, like being called a racist?

He doesn't exhibit enough self control to be consciously doing anything. If it riles his base, then a) it's coincidental, and b) his base is also mentally unbalanced. He doesn't have the capacity of restraint of a 7- year- old. Sometimes the obvious thing is obvious.

Possibly. Like Jeremiah Wright, Cynthia McKinney, etc. But maybe, just maybe, it's worthwhile to examine the fact that this man, who most sane people would say is at the very least mentally unstable, is able to legally buy an arsenal. Because in many of the pro-gun rights countries that the NRA praises, he would not pass their rigorous background check.

I'm pretty sure that being mentally ill doesn't mean violent. I don't think all forms of mental illness should exempt one from the freedom to buy firearms. Do you think an extreme hypochondriac is going to shoot everything he thinks is a germ? Maybe you can clear this up for us, being an internet psychiatrist and all..

You want me to clear up whether or not I think hypochondriacs should be allowed to own firearms? Or are you using a deliberately absurd example in an effort to undercut my point? I'm not playing that game. If you want to defend the sweaty, unhinged guy's right to own guns, go ahead.

This is barely scratching the surface. He's a full on NWO/Illuminati nutbag who thinks that FEMA's running concentration camps in rural America.

A fantastic source of lulz.
