Treygreen13: I was going to say that I'd rather stumble into a bar full of doctors, but I bet the docs would just scramble around looking for a nurse to actually do something.

THIS

MDs walk into a room for 5 min and write a few orders. The nurses are the ones who do all the care and procedures with the exception being surgeons. Too many times the doc will look at a beeping IV pump and ask the nurse how to make it stop... Sigh.

Geeeeze, a post here reminded me of the time when coming home from another bar, we saw on the side walk a young guy who'd had the crap beat outta him right outside the bar next to our place, no one from that bar was helping him. I quickly checked his pulse, my then boyfriend ran into our place to call 911, I grabbed a blanket to cover him, as it was really cold out, and he was sinking fast, the paramedics got there-took him away, and I never knew if he made it.

vpb: Do they have their own bars like gays and bikers?

I'm going to stop you right there. We don't even have our own bars anymore. I was just in Phoenix after a 2-year absence. THREE of my favorite gay bars had converted to straight bars. I was appalled.

Could be worse. The huge glass window in front, yuppie upperclass style one called Pharaoh's in my city got replaced by a bar/restaurant called Taco Heaven

Isn't a bar full of nurses the best kind to stumble into under any circumstances, really?

as it turns out, he had an allergic reaction to something in the blanket you gave him. he went into shock on the way to the hospital. there was nothing they could do.

I've never understood the nurse fetish

Sure, it's considered a female "role", but a hospital is the last place I want to fantasize about.
Yeah baby, stick that catheter into my drug-shrunken tiny wiener. Don't worry, the old man in the bed next to mine, the guy who's bed pan you just changed, he won't hear us.

THIS. My wife is a nurse. No mistake, she's great, but at the time I thought, what a bonus for my old age. Until the day I "helped out" at our Assisted Living Center.

/the horror

Perhaps the bar left their grail-shaped beacon on.

For those wondering wtf we're talking about...

Farker's warship rescues civilian sailors on the way home. Baby, I will still be home on time... no really

Note: starts slow...so just keep reading...I guarantee you it's worth it

Can we use the term 'ironic' to describe this?

2013-01-07 05:37:05 PM
I think this is a misunderstanding. Someone said something about a bunch of people nursing drinks, but someone else couldn't hear over the music and bar noise and this is what we get.

Those nurses were really jerks. They wasted farking bar towels on this guy?

Hahahaha...small pox......that was the other blanket I gave to a Native American!

EvilEgg: Sadly a GIS FOR "oiled nurses" wasn't as good as I hoped

Yeah, the new GIS rules are bullshiat

In their defense, it's not their job.

I work as a health care aide in a small hospital and am getting increasingly annoyed with the young generation of nurses. They spend half their time on their iphones while we get run off our feet trying to make up for their laziness.

Guess shiat rolls uphill at a hospital... Laws of physics be damned.
