hawcian: Microsoft Security Esentials is actually a pretty decent anti-virus program. Not the best, mind you, but not bad.

One aspect in which it wins is that it's pretty lightweight, and runs well on older machines that are still running XP. A lot of modern anti-virus packages are serious resource hogs. The ones that include a bundled "security suite" are some of the worst offenders in this regard, although some of the free-as-in-beer packages that are out there have a bad rep too.

que.guero: The best part of this while story is that none of what he described actually happened outside of his own imagination.

I don't care. I'd buy the book.

McAfee was also a sniper in the Marine Core.

I'll bet that McAfee turns out to be a perfectly sane, mild-mannered English professor who is working on a textbook called "The Unreliable Narrator."

The story didn't include his 20 and 17-year old girlfriends, so no, it wasn't weirder.
