How utterly farked up beyond belief do you have to be to ever think a meth lab would be a dandy thing to travel with at all times?  I mean honestly, this is right up there with the bank robbers who wrote the holdup note on their own personal check.  The risk is huge, and I really can't see any advantage to doing it.

If you use the stuff over a long enough period of time, your brain starts to look like Swiss cheese.  Maybe people who are just starting out as meth users won't have rotted their brain that far, but if you've taken to constructing your own meth lab on wheels, well......clearly this ain't your first time at the rodeo.

With the exception of pot smokers, because I don't really consider pot a drug, drug users are terrifically stupid.  They do shiat that absolutely baffles the mind.

Sure you did, and the person that got hit by a big rig would not have called the cops to report that. People really believe this? They were being watched and needed an excuse to bust them.

Too many people think meth is like Breaking Bad when in fact it's more like Winter's Bone.

They'll learn. Eventually.

anyone else look at the pictures in the article? is that what a "broken down meth lab" looks like? I've heard of the "one bottle" kits, and I've watched enough Breaking Bad to see the full lab setup's, but that just looks like some tools and a bottle of peroxide or some crap to me...

also, judging by the fact they're driving a rig from out of state, and they have a "broken down" lab in the back, it just looks to me like they're on the road a lot and set it up to cook some when they're stopped for the day, it wasn't a "rolling lab"...

I agree, that falls far short of deserving to be called a lab. It's just some chemicals and tools to cut open lithium batteries.

(and why has nobody posted that "black lab / chocolate lab /..." picture yet?)

I liked Winter's Bone. When I was living in China, I watched that with a Chinese female friend who has never been to the US and never travelled outside her country. I told her (in jest) that a big chunk of 'Mericah and white culture is like this. And they all love this drug called "meth". She had this horrified look like she never wanted to ever visit the US.

Rural Missouri also has some real big problems with hillbilly crack. It's bad enough in some areas that Sudafed is restricted to purchase only from the pharmacist and only with a full driver's license that's tied to a database. I've lost track of the number of times I've been approached in a Walgreens/CVS/WalMart/Target parking lot and been asked by some cooker to buy Sudafed for them.
