A) I would only want a cameo that shows he is married with a kid (i.e. his ultimate happy ending)
B) I want the strangler to be Creed Bratton...or the original Creed Bratton

When is this show done? Soon? I'm getting tired of multiple articles a day about it already.

2013-01-06 09:00:48 PM
Is Steve Carell really so busy he can't come back for one episode?

2013-01-06 09:08:27 PM
I see infomercials in his future.

2013-01-06 09:09:14 PM
It's his call, but c'mon, even Clooney found time for a cameo on the finale of ER.

2013-01-06 09:12:52 PM
The Daily Show made him popular, but The Office made him a star. He should show some reverence to the show and come back for at least a small cameo.

2013-01-06 09:22:32 PM
The strangler is either Ryan the intern or Gabe. They make the most sense without being as obvious as Creed.

I'm looking forward the seeing how the show wraps up. They've already done a good job improving the quality of this season drastically over the last few. The recent absence of Andy has certainly helped.

His "schedule"? This is the show that made him famous. Being a dick about it means he will be fighting giant spiders like the Skipper!

It's like his cameo on Life's Too Short. Gervais is responsible for the show that made him a star, but the most he could be bothered to do was a Skype call.

2013-01-06 09:33:36 PM
Meh, this current season has been much better than the last 2 or 3 seasons with Michael. Hopefully they can keep Andy out of the show for a little while longer...

100% I agree, A) is the only one that would be proper.

Your creed idea would get a chuckle out of me.

While meanwhile, much bigger stars like Johnny Depp and Liam Neeson actually showed up in person to film cameos.

I love Tim's ending in the original. That's how you give the audience what it wants but without complete pandering.

But pandering is what American TV audiences love.

and the kid is quite obviously massively mentally retarded but Michael doesn't seem to notice. everyone else does.

Or they guy who got fired instead of Creed in the second season Halloween episode

I hated that show because of him. It was the Steve Carell Show, starring Steve Carell, with special appearances of Steve Carell. There are just certain strong personalities that just completely take over a show/movie. Jack Black is like that, though he was controlled enough in High Fidelity that it worked out.

Can't be Ryan. He is now in Oxford Ohio, you know the silicon prairie.

My theory is, it's Andy who's the strangler. I don't care if I'm wrong, but he's had to give up Erin, stole his families boat, and is a tad bit weird enough to try and kill somebody by strangling them, perhaps in his sleep. But I make a lot of shiat up in my head. I think he's pulling a John McAfee.

Strangled them with his Cornell ties.

I can't remember, has the strangler strangled anybody since Michael left Scranton?

Ditto. I gagged when one of the headlines recently referred to The Office as a classic. Ugh. The show was second-rate even in its best years, but just got unbearable after Jim & Pam got married and had a kid.

Maybe he left to avoid getting caught. Toby keeps going on about how he's sure he convicted the wrong guy. Ryan could have thought he'd be found out soon.

I'm honestly surprised they're going to tell us who the strangler is. It seemed fine to me to just use it as an excuse for Toby's jury duty and a couple of office jokes. I never really expected a payoff from it. It will be kind of odd for a sitcom like this to suddenly claim a major character is a serial killer.

It's hard to believe Carell has only been gone for two seasons. It feels like the show's been without him for so much longer.

What is up with actors disrespecting the shows that made them a star? This is almost as bad as the Downton Abbey lead leaving for no farking reason and ruining the show.

The actor has been giving interviews for over a year saying he has no plans to return to Downton after Season 3. It's not a secret.

Women on average don't have the strength to be stranglers, but I suppose it's possible.

I always hoped the Scranton Strangler was Toby, proving that Michael was always right to have a hatred of Toby. Plus it'd be kind of amazing that Toby served as a juror for a man wrongfully convicted of being the Strangler.

/It'll probably be Creed

To be fair, Depp and Neeson live in Europe.  Carell doesn't.

I'd be pretty shocked if it was anyone else.

I did stop watching the show after Steve left the show, but caught up on everything recently. It still has it's moments, but lots of the writing now just seems like they don't know where to take things.

It just wasn't the same without Carell, there were some funny moments here and there, but overall it wasn't as good. The funniest moments involved Nate (Mark Proksch).
