I think it´s still legal to get a hunting permit for those in Arizona.

Gawd Almighty, I found them extremely annoying even when I was a child.  Even worse than normal mimes.  I can't imagine actually paying to sit through a performance now.

Mummenschanz syndrome by proxy would make a great band name.

How was it they were able to tell anyone?

It's a good way to make a group of small children all have a WTF? expression on their faces.

I was alternately fascinated and terrified by Mummenschanz as a kid. Would love to take my daughter to see them...too bad they're not playing anywhere near here.

When I hear "Mummenschanz," I think of Newsradio.

I thought the giant slinky act was amusingly surreal when I was a kid. I think they guest-starred on Sesame Street a few times and I though it was pretty cool, probably because it reminded me of the original Mahnah-Mahnah short with the slinky caterpillar. I also remember the Notepad People act and thought that was awesome.

I was a weird kid.

Brendan Fraser really needs to stop making those movies, much less going on some kinda tour with them--he's gotten way too bald and fat to attract a crowd at this point...

I remember that. Then I had to explain to some people what it meant.

No, I think we were okay. The Muppet Show episode with them was fantastic.

I'm betting all the complainers here are just bratty Millennials who are thinking of white makeup and invisible boxes.

They were the guests in one of the most acid trippy episodes of the Muppet Show ever. And there were quite a few.

With so much crap thrown at us daily, shouldn't we give a break to the truly inventive and talented.

Where is the filtered excellence?

I guess they'd be scary if I were a kid watching on TV in my jammies. But I saw them as an adult, in a Detroit concert hall filled with blue smoke. Mesmerizing, surreal fun.

Saw them on Broadway in '78 or '79. Cool show.

(and yes, I hate white-face mimes and once had to be talked out of bludgeoning Marcel Marceau with an olive-pimento loaf when gifted with front-row tickets)

They guested on Northern Exposure once. Totally fit in with that lot.
