Is there anything that Bimbo DOESN'T own?
Flowers doesn't sell bread here, but they did buy up the much-loved TastyKake brand a year or two ago.

As much as I hate on hostess, Wonder Stoneground Wheat bread has always been a favorite of mine. Heres to hoping it goes somewhere and doesnt get changed.

True, but his delicious canned spaghetti products are still widely available.

Little Debbie is either NOW producing Hostess Cupcakes and Twinkies or they've put out two exact clones.
Saw them in the store this weekend...

Too late. Once we realized Nature's Pride Honey Wheat was gone, we finally broke down and got a breadmaker. No intentions of coming back...

If Bimbo is allowed to take over the Hostess brands a single company, based in Mexico, will own just abut every popular bread in the United States. Here is a current list:
ARNOLD, BALL PARK (BUNS), BIMBO, BOBOLI, BROWNBERRY, EARTHGRAINS ENTENMANN'S, FRANCISCO, FREIHOFER'S, MARINELA. MRS BAIRD'S. OROWEAT. RAMBO, SARA LEE, STROEHMANN, THOMAS', OLD COUNTRY, WEBERS, ROMAN MEAL, SUNBEAM, SUN MAID RAISIN BREAD, CINNIBON, MILTONS, SAN LUIS SOURDOUGH.

Why is the FTC allowing this monopoly?

If Bimbo's goes on strike or we get into a trade dispute with Mexico, we could possibly see almost every loaf of bread disappear from the supermarket shelf.

Please write you Congressman about this and ask them to investigate Bimbo's practices and prevent them from taking over Hostess as well.

There's no way a "trade dispute" would cause that. The bread is still baked in the US, even if the brand is owned by a foreign company.

I still just can't get over the inherent puerile humor in Hostess going Bimbo.

Maybe it's just because I live near quite a few "hostess bars".
