(ESPN)   Will the overachieving Colts continue playing way above their ability level, or will the overrated Ravens play just well enough to pull this one out? It's the battle for the right to get blown the fark out by the Broncos, at 1 PM EST on CBS   (scores.espn.go.com ) divider line

I am hoping for old colts over new colts so they can play the team with the vp digruntled old colt.

I feel like this is the weakest the AFC playoff field has been in a long, long time. The Texans and Ravens are both counterfeit. The Broncos appear to be playing well, but it's hard to judge because their opposition has been ballsacks. Indianapolis is capable, but they don't have what I'd consider quality wins. New England seems like the best of the remaining teams, but they're not as intimidating as in years past.

Come play for bragging rights, it's only to late for Arian Foster.  You still have four teams to pick for week 1 or pick bye week players for the X2 next week.

0-2 yesterday, had CIN outright and thought Vikes would cover.
STill holding to my other picks:

@ BALT -7     IND 47
Upset special:  I think IND wins this outright.  Balt finished the second half an unimpressive 5-4, and their wins and losses are telling (they split vs the Steelers):  beat CLE, OAK, San Dog (needing OT, at that), and NYG.  Bad teams.  Their losses: Donks, CIN, and WASH (albeit in OT).  Hmmm....what do those teams have in common?  I'm not calling BALT fake, but I do think that's telling.  Now, given IND's schedule, they racked up wins vs bad teams and also had losses to playoff teams, but they seem to be peaking at the right time.  And if nothing has fazed Luck yet through 17 weeks, I doubt today he'll wilt.  Gonna pick the moneyline special for this one, screw the points, IND finds a way to heist this one and send Ray Lewis to Bristol, CT a bit sooner than he'd like.

SEA -3     @ Washington     46
Can't wait for this one.....I checked the liner earlier this week, and I think it was SEA at 4.5 if i'm not mistaken.  SEA is the NFL leader in scoring defense (15.3 per), while WASH is 22nd at 24.2.  But, WASH is 5th in scoring (27.2) whereas SEA is 17th, at 25.8.  I heard that there is some concern over how healthy "Bobby Three Sticks" (i think i first read that here, that's awesome) is and obviously, SEA has a strong defense (and with the suspensions either served or overturned, their secondary may cause BTS some headaches.  Don't know if WEAX is a factor......I think SEA handily wins this one.  low double digits.  I said earlier in i think the black friday thread that I think SEA by 10, nothign has made me change my mind.

Houston looked a little more legit yesterday - that Bengals defense is scary, and they managed to move the ball between the 20s enough to exert some control on the clock. But the Texans' defense just isn't the same without Brian Cushing.

given how flat HOU finished the season (hence my pick) i was surprised at how well they played yesterday.  they didn't blow the doors off, of course, but they looked prepared and executed well.  I still don't see them going far.

Well, with the Bengals out of the picture (I hope you're happy, Mike), there's nothing stopping me from rooting for the Pony Bowl. Go Colts.

Apparently Bruce Arians was rushed to the hospital today, so he won't be on the sidelines.

Folks in Vegas knew, nut got bigger than hell before kickoff. Bastards....but then also, Dungy pick the Vikings outright, and if that isn't the kiss of death, I'm Marty Turco.

OK, Arians has flu-like symptoms, so nothing horrible, just means he won't be there to run the offense.

Hines Ward sounded awful yesterday.  people make fun of that CBS guy, for the "wop-bap! shabba do-bop!" meme, but Ward was just.....bad.  he was talking about the packers corners and he said something like, "those two guys, you can't, ain't no help coming down, for those two when they has help coverage and if you have man [coverage], he have help on the top".  i knew what he was saying, but it was this garbled half run-on, "has" vs "have" mixup.

Colts win and it is Ponygeddon next Saturday. Do it for the lulz.

Lucky Ponies and Trollhawks are the winnahs today. RGIII is gonna have a bad day. He was average vs a weakened Dallas D and Seattle is far from it. If the Skins blitz every down like they did last week, Lynch is gonna shove the football up their bums and make them like it. Wilson doesn't have to win it, just manage it.

The Ravens are going to crush the Colts today. Luck is overrated and turnover-prone. I think that the game will be decided by Luck turnovers.

I think I'm still drunk from last night.

Can't decide who I like in the early game. It's kind of hilarious that it's old Baltimore against new Baltimore, though.

And frankly, I'm tired of the while "branding" campaign for "RG3".  I can't recall his real name.  Why not bring back the XFL:

Bruce Arians is in the hospital. The Ravens and Colts have been having a battle of motivational stories this week. Chuck Pagano beats cancer and comes back to play against his former team. Then Ray Lewis announces that he is going to retire. Now this thing with Arians. I expect the ravens to counter with Bryant McKinnie getting into a car accident on the way to the stadium.

/Hope that does not happen
//Bryant McKinnie serves no other purpose on this team anyway.

Right now, it's

Elway
Morton
Tripucka
Plummer
Manning
Griese
Charley Johnson
Tebow
Steve DeBerg

If Manning wins a playoff game, he moves ahead of Plummer. If he wins a Super Bowl, he goes to #2 as you said. Right now, he's played one really good regular season. It's a little early to put him that high.

Personally, I refuse to use his real name because it happens to also be the name of my asshole GIS instructor, whom I hate with the fire of ten thousand suns, but that's just me. But hey, I never have to see that asshole again, right?
