Destin? I thought Panama City Beach was that area's Redneck Riviera.

Yeah, it makes sense. Given how the power of science has kept her looking like a 40yo MILF, glancing at her does make me want to hop in the saddle and plunder her booty.

She might be 66 but most of you Farkers would still hit it, for the same reason Edmund Hillary mounted Everest.

She's got these shows in Myrtle Beach SC , Pigeon Forge TN, and Branson MO. Adding one to the Redneck Rivera makes perfect sense. Her other dinner show, Dixie Stampede is a North vs. South equestrian musical kind-a thing. There is much grousing by folks that have to sit on the "North" side.

Those tracts of land are apparently inked up (would love to see that in person):
Dolly gets them out to show off ink.

Also - could one of you Farkers with the requisite skill make Dolly's dream come true? Gather the requisite syllables and phonemes from the Elvis catalog and mash them up into a Kingly performance of _I Will Always Love You_? A high-quality demo could:
- get you an audience with Dolly
- get you a royalty on a #1 hit record
difficulty: getting TCB enterprises to graciously accept the gravy you're trying to hand them instead of the entire gravy boat.

I think I was dragged to the one in SC as a child. Thanks. I was wondering why I remembered such a place when apparently its not even built.

Her brother got involved with a theater in Roanoke Rapids, NC, to do a handful of shows and be the flagship act to get their name off the ground. Nothing thematic, but a generic theater like you'd see in Branson. But then he fell of the wagon again and failed to live up to his terms of the contract.

Last I heard the theater had installed a few "sweepstakes" machines in order to get a few more people in the seats. It's a nice building from the outside, but it sounds like the white trashiest thing you could find in eastern NC.

Honestly? I think "Random corny entertainment for rednecks." A few years ago there was something-or-other where she was singing with someone for something, and I thought "Holy shiat. She's still a singer?" Of course she got famous as a singer, but most of my life I've thought of her as a self-defining industry ... Dolly World and etc.

/All you farkers think about is boo(bs|ze). And I applaud you for that.

She already tried this in Orlando. She built a huge building back in 2003, and it was out of business by about 2008. The building was sold two or three times, and was demolished last month to make way for an expansion of an outlet mall. So, good luck with that.

/Also, just got back from a week in Wears Valley.

That was the Dixie Stampede in Orlando. I've driven by it many times. I dont know if it was mismanaged or just put in too saturated of a market for family dinner theaters. Perhaps it was just the wrong market for something with such an exceedingly southern tone. What works in Branson wont necessarily work in Orlando with a more diverse clientele. I wonder if they'd converted it to the Pirate show, if they could have survived.

Nobody ever lost a penny underestimating the taste of the American public but I thought it was ninjas and pirates not cowboys. She's more of a hard core diesel dyke than kd lang ever was with her tit tats but as long as she wears polyester satin and $1.95 wigs over what must be a butch wax crew cut white trash is always glad to cone out and support her. At least she doesn't drag out the poor schmuck who pretends to be her husband any more.

I went to Destin, the beaches are squeaky white and there's lots of seafood to eat plus the golfing was awesome. When I think of Dolly, what comes to mind is the term "open marriage"

Hmm, did the building finally get torn down? I drive that stretch of I-4 about once a week and I guess I just don't pay attention any more. Admittedly I'm usually too busy watching out for people that can't drive that short stretch. Will have to look next week when I go I to town to the e-cig store.
