Joe Biden may be the most misunderestimated pol in America's history.

By all means, Republicans, keep dismissing him as a buffoon.

Joe Biden understands what his job in this administration is.  John Nance Garner said the job wasn't worth a bucket of warm piss, and LBJ reportedly loathed being Vice President, because he had no real duties or authority.  On the flip-side, Dick Cheney was basically Darth Vader with a pacemaker.  Like I said, Biden gets it.

The right always underestimates Joe. Remember when they said Paul Ryan would beat him the the Debates? Or when Joe would look like a bully against Palin and then toned it down?

The guy is a Gaffe machine the works overtime and will embarrass the crap out of the Democrats and Obama but when its go time or when the Chips are down he always comes thru. He really is if Kirk was first officer and not captain.

Lincoln was considered a buffoon by many too. Joe Biden is a successful and effective politician. He is also a mensch, with a genuine interest and insight into the common man. He'll clean the clock of whatever out-of-touch bible-thumping millionaire the repubs decide to run in in four years. Uncle Joe has my vote in 2016.

Gosh, you're sure right. I definitely feel zinged.

Back to reality- Joe is one of my favorite high level politicians. He's bad news for Republicans and shills like Silly Jesus and his ilk, that's for sure.

It's a zing to the type of idiots who felt that Dan Quayle, Dick Cheney, and Sarah Palin were good ideas for VP. So, y'know, he's just picking up the 7-infinity split with a derpball.

It actually makes sense that Biden is the one doing the bipartisan wheeling and dealing.

The right has spent so much time demonizing Obama that they can't be seen so much as talking with the President directly even if they know it's in their best interests to do so. Joe Biden however isn't viewed as being a major threat by the right, so they can be much more amicable with him.

And since the Vice President is theoretically in charge of the Senate (even if not in practice), it's tough to argue that the President shouldn't be utilizing his Vice President to deal with Congress at least part of the time.

I'd vote for him simply because he's a genuine human being. It's a happy coincidence that his center-left populism aligns with my views. I could see Biden Republicans coming out in in 2016.

You obviously didn't hear... Reagan became a hardcore evangelical, gun-toting, gay-bashing, über-conservative loon post-death. (At least according to every Freeper on the planet).

Still, I'm curious about this Joe Biden guy. I know this must be a different Joe Biden than the one FOX News spent all summer telling me was a gaffe-prone moron who was about to be dropped from the ticket at any moment (in favor of Hillary), since there was no way Barack HUSSEIN Obama could win reelection carrying that much dead weight. I wonder where they found this guy -- he seems way cooler.

Isn't it weird how Republicans will talk to Biden but foam at the mouth when they are expected to work with Obama?

What is it that is so different between Biden and Obama?

Maybe it's the age difference. Maybe Republicans just can't stand people who's last names begin with a vowel? For some reason they just don't get immediately hostile when Biden walks in vs when Obama does.

What could it possibly be? You don' think they would be... *gasp* discriminating Obama based on his age, do you? I mean, he's not much younger than most the Republican reps.... No.. I don't think age is it.

Maybe Obama wears an offensive overpowering aftershave? It has to be something obvious... something immediately noticeable about the president. I just can't put my finger on it...
