Sodium is not evil. If you have healthy kidneys and plenty of water you'll be fine.

Don't understand how anyone uses that (or heavy smoked) stuff except in a soup.

Surprised at how much sodium came from the bread.

i think i understand this article:

Tasty food item: Exactly what your hungry for, tastes great, is good on the wallet, and helps you with the energy you need to get through the day

Choose this instead: Something totally disgusting. Might as well be telling me to eat dog food

It are high, huh?

In any case, I only put salt on two or three things, probably thanks to growing up with so many family who couldn't. Many things at places are too salty for me. Weird.

I've yet to meet anyone who actually likes salt bagels.

When I was an undergrad, we used to get a bagel delivery every morning.  No one ever ate the salt bagels.  Or, at least, no one at one twice.  They were unbearably salty.

McDonald's Big Breakfast with Hotcakes: Big is right. You get scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns and a small stack of pancakes. Order it with a large-size biscuit and you'll be starting the day with 2,260 milligrams of sodium and 1,150 calories.

Has McDonald's started selling different sizes of biscuit? Is this less than or more sodium than the English muffin? Not terribly useful info

Why do people insist on believing that "fast food"--especially anything coated in cheese where the grease soaks through two layers of cardboard--can possibly be good for you?

Nutritional value is as much a factor in this as nuclear physics.

Well, I have to assume that people think there is some kind of "nutritional value" in fast food, the way these articles keep popping up, warning consumers about the dangers of fat and salt, and advising them of healthier alternatives at the same outlets. That would mean they're eating this crap because they think there's some kind of positive benefit, right? And thus are surprised and shocked when a stack of deep fried starch covered in oily ooze and coated in salt turns out to be unhealthful?

Hey, the Double Down cuts down on calories by eliminating the bread, so it's practically like being on a diet.

They're not shocked because they don't know what health is.
